Really is about time I booked us tickets to see this again! Really looking forward to getting the album! Hmmm, but is this really the only way we'll ever get cast recordings again...live recordings? I'm not a fan. I would much rather have a studio album over any live recording to be honest, but if it is a toss up between no album or a live recording, i would take live every time. For example Urinetown was recorded/partly recorded for intended release but as the show stopped selling the album was cancelled. I would give anything to have a cast recording of the london show.

Really?! Oh me too - I'd LOVE to have that. Now that things can just be released as downloads only, you'd think we'd get more releases, not less. Though I suppose the costs are still in the licencing/post-recording mixing/editing work. I love a live recording just as much as a studio recording.

I wasn't a fan of live recordings until the recent Miss Saigon one. The sound quality is incredible and for some of the songs, such as the Engineer's solo songs, the audience reaction adds to the ambience
By contrast I didn't enjoy the London legally blonde recording and I don't think all the cast gave their best performances on it

The quality of the recording is super shoddy. Volume levels all over the place. Sounds tinny at many points. Really bad. I'm a big,big fan of live recordings. Billy Elliot is my least favourite studio cast recording as for some unknown reason they decided to add loads of extra backing vocals that never were or have been in the show. I could go on but that's for another thread.

I can't stand the US legally blonde recording. I love Sheridan's humour and audience reaction on the live London recording.

Saw Paul Ayres as Charlie tonight and thought he was brilliant. I wasn't that impressed by Killian when I saw the show in November. Definitely prefer Paul in the role and will try and go again when he's on. Callum Francis took over from Matt Henry after the first act so basically we got two Lolas for the price of one. I'd seen Matt before so it was great to watch half a show with Callum who was wonderful (I do hope Matt feels better soon though!). And just how beautiful is Callum's Lola? As a woman I have to say: I'm jealous. ;-)

What happened last night? According the the west end understudies twitter page about 4 cast were replaced after interval?

Callum Francis had to become Lola at the interval so Dom Tribuzio had to become an angel. Not sure what caused the change though. Must of been illness.

From what I was told after the show Matt Henry's voice just went. He struggled a bit during the last song of act one. Probably a cold or something similar.

Ooooh I really like the cover with one boot red and one boot Union Jack!
Also, the track list is listed as this:
1. Price and Son Theme / The Most Beautiful Thing in the World 2. Take What You Got 3. Land of Lola 4. Charlie's Soliloquy (One) 5. Step One 6. Sex Is In The Heel 7. The History of Wrong Guys 8. Not My Father's Son 9. Charlie's Soliloquy (Two) 10. Everybody Say Yeah 11. What a Woman Wants 12. In This Corner 13. Charlie's Soliloquy (Three) 14. Soul of a Man 15. Hold Me in Your Heart 16. Raise You Up / Just Be
So no major cuts other than the Land of Lola (Reprise) and brief History of Wrong Guys (Reprise)... am hoping for a full version of Sex is in The Heel, with the full dance break. I assume it will be full because of the live aspect but I really hope it is!

Bit disappointed by the cover, but I suppose it's fine. Hopefully there'll be samples on iTunes soon.
Do you think they'll start selling it at the Theatre before the 1st of April?

Interesting it's called "West End" cast recording..Normally the standard term is Original London cast recording..Never seen it labeled as such before.

Saw it Saturday afternoon and was so blown away. Callum Francis was amazing, such a talent, made me laugh, made me cry. I didn't even realise he was the understudy.

Is Adam Lake still in the show as I've been three times in the past few months and not seen him! Love seeing the swings but just wondered if he's back in the show?

Caught this for the second time on Saturday afternoon. Hugely tightened up since seeing it in previews. Hugely entertaining, the show really lifts off when Matt Henry appears as Lola and like Killien Donelly really sells the numbers, especially Not My Fathers Son and Soul of a Man lifted the roof off.
Marcus Collins off. All the Angles were terrific.
Lots of premium seats in the middle of the stalls empty - the sides full! Clearly a price resistance to paying over £100 for a theatre ticket!
Noisy audience - huge applause and cheering as well as a huge amount of coughing and the rustling of sweet wrappers!!!

The Angels are fabulous and make the show (along with Lola) but basically they are just ensemble? The actors (after a few weeks) must be bored witless just strutting around in heels for 8 shows a week.

Maybe, or maybe they enjoy being featured ensemble in a hit show grateful for the opportunity to be on stage doing what they trained to do...?
(and no I'm not a bitter out of work actor)

As far as I am aware Adam Lake is still in the show, very odd situation as they now appear to have brought in a replacement but he is still listed on the website as being in the cast.

I REALLY hope they don't do Everybody Say Yeh at the Oliviers. They could always use some of its conveyorography in a different song.

Interesting looking at the website, the first Child cast change has occurred, with two previous boys staying on. There are now four boys alternating the roles rather than the original three. And that two of the Charlie's are, I assume, brothers! The new boys are:
Young Charlie: Ben Dawson (continuing in the role), Charlie Gallacher, Harley Gallacher and Xavier Wagstaff Young Lola - Nana Agyeman-Bediako (continuing in the role, Zephan Amissah, James Gava and Tyrell Russell-Matthew
Also, Philip Towns is now listed on the website, as previously mentioned, as an Angel/Ensemble, whilst Adam Lake is still listed... so I am assuming he is gonna be a Swing type of role for the Angels?

Adam, and all the angels, are listed as Angel/Ensemble so wouldn't discount him being back just yet

Oh wow, so by the sound of Matt Henry on Twitter, two performances recently were filmed via 32 GoPro's... sounds like it is going to be an exciting promotion opportunity for Kinky coming up!
