I think I'm in the small minority of people who didn't get the hype about Natalie McQueen in Wonderland, but I actually think she'd be a great Lauren!

I think she showed why she would be a great Lauren in her Starlight performance, with that one number, she was hilarious!

Expect as new Nicola as Bleu Woodward has been cast in Knights of the Rose. So that's a new Charlie, Lauren, Don and Nicola confirmed. She is a maternity cover for the season 2 Nicola who had a baby last summer. I guess she’s planning to be back at some point? (i saw the show with her being sooo pregnant that it added a whole new level to the story. Charlie looked like a total a** leaving a girl who wanted him to take care of her and their child)

Bleu came back as Nicola at the beginning of September so cast change would be 9 months since she started, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the ‘new’ Nicola was in fact Cordelia who’s returning. I assume she’s going to return anyway.

Completely agree I thought she was going through the motions in Wonderland. Saw it twice and first time U/S was on for Hatter - don't recall her name but she was much better. I did like her in the Starlight workshops though.

Was anyone giving it their all in that production, given the circumstances?
I saw it early on and thought she was the best one in it. Maybe she got jaded later on, I don't know

Maybe she got jaded later on, I don't know Kerry Ellis, Wendi Peters and Dave Willetts managed to.... When I went McQueen literally looked like she wanted to be somewhere else!

I think Natalie McQueen would be a great Lauren, she has the personality for it for sure and has a belter of a voice to go with it.
On another note, I wonder how many of the Angels will change. I still love Adam Lake and Jon Reynolds, but wouldn't mind seeing an overhaul to freshen it up a bit. Saying that, I haven't seen the show since October so maybe I would love them all now.
Someone on the MTAS page on Facebook 'claims' to know the new cast, of course wont name them... but says we will have a 'wicked time' watching them so I assume they've heard the Oliver Tompsett and Natalie McQueen rumours too.

Once they got f***ed about by that producer, they all knew all they had to do was be on stage. I can't blame them for the little passion! I'd do the same if I got screwed over like they did.

I think that many of the angels who have been in the cast for a long time will leave the show (Jemal Felix, Robert Jones, Adam Lake, Robin Mills, Jon Reynolds, George Grayson and Dominic Tribuzio). I would like them all to stay

Of the Angels, Adam Lake is the one I would want to stay the most tho.

Maybe she got jaded later on, I don't know I saw it in the middle of July and thought Natalie was incredible. She was completely new to me but she belted the life out of her Hatter songs. She even outshone Kerry I'd say

I've seen Natalie McQueen in a few things, Wicked (ensemble and Elphaba), Wonderland, Murder Ballad, Starlight Express, a couple of concerts, and I can't honestly say she's been anything more than adequate in any of them. Her Elphaba is my least favourite out of 21, she somehow manages to be bland in every performance. I'd be very surprised if she was the new Lauren as that's a role that requires stage presence and personality, neither of which I've seen from her before.

I did like her in the Starlight workshops though. First cover was Michelle Pentecost. I thought Natalie was fine. I liked the way she played the character. If anyone has seen Fat Friends the musical there is a "quirky assistant" in that and Rachael Wooding, who played Alice in half the venues, plays her exactly like Natalie's Hatter. Anyway, I digress...

Dom’s last scheduled Angel dates are 26/27/28 April if anyone’s interested. Luckily I got to see him as Rita last week but I may try and get to one of these dates as well
