I felt my seat at the end of row B in the dress circle was good value for £28. That was after I failed in the lottery - I suspect they're using it to sell off unfilled seats cheaply instead of advertising heavy discounts. Good to know thanks! I think our plan is try either lottery or dayseats then see what else might be available (while keeping an eye in the meantime for any sneaky cheaper ones that crop up) Thanks all, much appreciated!

I hoping I do bag those day seats when I go in August, however it might be better if we didn't get front row seats but got spare seats in a row further back?

They do offer seats dotted around the stalls if no more dayseats are available, but be aware they may be individual seats so you may get spilt up. It probably won't, but just to be aware!

I won the lottery once and got a front row seat very close to the centre. You suffer a touch from "front row neck" but it does get you a rather delightful view of Killian Donnelly in his pants so every cloud . . . .

I'd better tell my friend that (or not!) she rejected upper circle on the basis of being too far from Mr D

He's not conventionally handsome I'll give you that but I can imagine he knows his way around a boudoir.

THe new cast only start in a few weeks. Hopefully I'll be seeing the show later in the year again so it'll be good to compare the two casts.
It's a shame Amy Lennox is leaving, but I think she's leaving her star. This was a great gig for her and earned her an Olivier nomination so now I think she'll get quite a few job offers now.

Anyone made there way over to the Adelphi tonight for the final performance of the full Original Cast? I wonder how well the new cast will mould into the production this coming year. I'm thrilled Matt Henry is sticking around another contract!

I am intrigued by the casting of Elena Skye as Lauren. Amy's shoes are going to be very hard to fill.

Just rang my friend, apparently there are at least 150/200 people outside the stage door and the cast are waving out of the windows of the building to spur them on. Also a very emotional show, a lot of tears at the end according to my friend after winning the lottery! Glad they went out on a high!

I was there this evening after buying my second row seat when Killian gave out his last performance date. Really super fun tonight, lots of enthusiastic fans showing their appreciation. I still think Matt Henry is the star of the show, he is so great in this role. I took my son who bitched when I told him what I had tickets for and who laughed long and hard at lines I've got used to hearing. Great evening.
Jerry Herman came on stage at the end and gave a few words, how proud of this original British cast, Evening Standard winners etc. Killian broke the zip on his red boots in the last number and was held together by red sticky tape. Killian was given the microphone and turned his back on the audience to address his fellow cast members and thank them all, very touching. His last words were for Matt Henry, it's clear they've become firm friends. Matt was very teary, much love to Killian.
Brilliant evening.

Managed to bag two lottery tickets for the final show so moved from our original row D seats to front row, so worth it! It really was a special final show, lots of tears, Killian broke down after 'soul of a man' to thunderous applause, Jerry and whoever was in the box with him gave him a standing ovation, everyone gave it their all. Marcus and Jeremy were having a hard time stopping crying during the finale. Matinee was great as well, lots of little hilarious muck ups.
I'm sad to see this cast go, Killian and all the angels especially, but I'm sure the new guys will be fab!

Apologies to Mr Barnaby, posting late at night, unforgivable erred, natch.

More self-indulgent boo-hooing It was their final show after a year of performances, give them a break! I find the thought of Marcus Collins, in drag, crying to be truly stomach churning. And not in a good way! I'm sure it's just hard faced old moi though!

I'm seeing the show tomorrow night after months of waiting! I booked for my parents to see the show in May, and they thought it was absolutely fantastic - and for my dad to say that is a rarity!
I knew that it was around time for the cast to change, although didn't realise it would be the new cast's first performance...I'm excited to see how it all goes for them, especially David Hunter who I enjoyed following during his time on Lloyd Webber's 'Superstar' TV show and then in 'Once'.
I have been listening to the live recording repeatedly and I have really started to love the music. Such feel-good, lively numbers blended with some real emotional belters. Can't wait!
Will post my thoughts afterwards. Being a first timer I won't be able to compare with the original cast, but I'm sure there will be lots of people at the performance who have seen the show before who will be able to make comparisons! 😁
