With Hamilton, Mormon, The Lion King and Potter not going anywhere as solid hits, also doubt that Phantom, Les Miserable or Wicked all tourist attractions and highly doubt these are going anywhere too.
Could some of the following, open in the new zone 2 theatres.
Confirmed that Frozen and Mockingbird are coming over next year.
But with so so many shows that may want to transfer or open. So thinking.
Bridges of Madison County - Reviews tepid, so unlikely, but the Menier is a conveyor belt for hits.
Back to the Future - Trying Out in Manchester, But will it make Down the M1. Linked to the Adelphi
The Boy in the Dress - Developed by RSC that gave as Les Mis, will this be third time lucky.
The Colour Purple - Hippodrome/Curve production, great show but does it have mass appeal. I loved this.
Sister Act - Solid talk of the Leicester production is happening.
Groundhog Day - Set in storage in Reading, linked to go into the Adelphi before Waitress.
Cinderella - ALW will always get a theatre, but when will it be ready?
Oklahoma (Chichester) - Classic, which the public adore.
This is my Family (Chichester) very unlikely, no buzz with this.
Anastasia - In Germany now, most of the set is on a hard drive, so the expensive part has been done.
Moulin Rouge - Loved film, doing great on Broadway the ultimate jukebox show.
Pretty Woman - Set to come over with Samantha Barks.
Tootsie - The powerful David Ian says he is bringing it over, but no Tony the box office seems to have gone south on this.
Hadestown - Massive hit on Broadway, done well at the National, but no love from the Olivier nominators.
Beetlejuice - Way to early to see this happening, butwould think it would be unlikely.
Aint to Proud - Great grosses, will be the next Jersey Boys. I see this definitely happening.
Mean Girls - All but confirmed this is coming over
Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comets - Unlikely, but would be a good one for the National, Olivier or a Zone 2 theatre.
king King - Tanked on Broadway to the tune of $35m but projections and Puppet paid for, so wouldn’t be expensive to put on. Maybe one again for a zone 2 theatre.
Oklahoma - (Broadway) scales back and brilliant won best revival Tony, needs a small theatre, would be a great summer show for the Bridge.
My Fair Lady - Another loved show like Oklahoma, where both are overdue in the West End. The Broadway production has always been strongly linked to the West End.
Me and My Girl - Another show that is overdue, Chichester seems to have gone cold, will another production open anytime soon.?
