This is a great thread. It’s given me a kick up the backside to actually go through my ticket collection and emails and get my 2020 theatre calendar up to date before I start double booking myself (which frustratingly has been happening a bit too often recently).
So far, I’ve booked for 11 shows which are either Manchester or Liverpool based. I’ve also got Riverdance to look forward to in May on my birthday.
As for London stuff, surprisingly, I’ve only got 4 shows booked so far, with The Prince of Egypt and SITPWG as the musical offerings.

Made my first 2020 booking the other week - My Brilliant Friend at the NT. I had previously avoided booking much beyond October as I wasn't sure if I would still be living in London. Now that I know I am, I'm sure the bookings will start racking up!

Dear Evan Hansen on Jan 1st: a great way to start the new year! Blood Brothers - Woking in March: still have a soft-spot for this, despite countless viewings! Everyone’s Talking About Jamie - Woking in July
And if I can remortgage the house, sell the cat and bake a few cakes to sell then I just might raise enough money to book Sunday in the Park with George in London. Or it might be cheaper to just buy the Savoy.

I've got 68 more musicals to go in 2019(151 seen up to yesterday) though expect to exceed 250 by the end of the year. Only 13 bookings so far for 2020 but most amateur shows don't go on sale that far in advance and they account for about a third of mine.
Friend reckons it's an addiction but I say it's a passion and a wonderful way to enjoy my retirement and reduce the kids'inheritance. if I have the time, freedom and means to see a musical most evenings then I see no reason to slow down. Would be even more if I lived in London.

Nothing theatrical, the only thing I’ve got booked whatsoever for next year is New Order in Miami in January: the only thing theatre wise I’d be semi-interested in booking for is Sunday In The Park With George but as I’m seeing Jake Gyllenhaal in Sea Wall/A Life on Broadway next month I’m not particularly THAT bothered about booking for that 11 months in advance.

I mostly travel on my own by public transport, most times I don't interact with anyone and nothing much happens but I just love stage musicals.

And a stars column to fill in afterwards so you can track what was good and what wasn't!

Just 2 musicals up to now, Phantom tour in Manchester and WWRY tour in Llandudno. Also Paul Carrack in concert in Llandudno which, if his show 2 years ago is anything to go by, will be brilliant.
Highly likely to do Jamie tour, again in Llandudno and hoping John Owen-Jones has another jaunt up North for one of his mini tours. Always a great night.

2020 - I appear to have booked really quite far into next year. How on earth did that happen? At least it's paid for now!
Theatres really are wanting our money earlier
My scores for 2020 2 Plays 4 operas 3 dance / ballet 2 musicals + I must also book Street Scene. But I'm waiting for other theatre announcements so I can twin my trip ooop North with something else.

Okay, here goes...
To the end of this year.... Hedda Tesman (Lowry), The Entertainer (Palace, Manchester), Gypsy (Royal Exchange). The Man In the White Suit, Hamilton, HP&CC & Mary Poppins (London)
Jan/Feb - Uncle Vanya(HPT), Hamilton(VP), HP&CC(PalT),Cyrano De Bergerac(PlyT) May - A Little Night Music (LdsPl) Aug - Sunday in the Park with George(Savoy), plus other as yet unknown productions that weekend, depending on what is announced in the next few months!
I'm also thinking about Coriolanus at the Sheffield Crucible(general tickets not yet on sale), and Pericles at the RSC as I haven't seen this play before.
Thank God for the cheaper tickets upstairs, otherwise my theatre going would be non-existent!

I'm up to 29 at the moment, beginning with Les Mis matinee at Cardiff on 2 January and currently ending with We Will Rock You at Wimbledon on 14 July. All but two front row which I always aim for.
Kids' inheritance steadily declining but no intention of cutting back !

I only have 4 things booked for next year but managed to book 2 of them on the same date! Luckily with ATG Theatre Card I should be able to exchange tickets for The Red Shoes for a different date so I can see Ball and Boe. I certainly hope I can otherwise Mum will have her Christmas present on her own!

13 so far (Young Vic x 4, ENO x 3, S.Wells x 2, bits n' pieces).
'Sunday in the Park with George' took me over a £20 average .. at those prices I really want Saturday and Sunday. It will come down.
Are you keeping track as well or is it only me ...
As we've been bumped ... So, 14 weeks on from the original post, I'm up from 13 to 29, and still at a £20 average. Scores on the doors, Anthea:
S. Wells x 5 (Khan, Pina Bausch, Sampled, Singin in the Rain)
Young Vic x 4 (Fairview, Nora, Hamlet, Portia)
ENO x 3 (Carmen, Butterfly, Figaro)
Jermyn St x 3 (Beckett, Ayckbourn)
National x 2 (Visit, England)
Donmar x 2 (Churchill)
The rest are single bookings elsewhere: Corman McCarthy, Ella Hickson, Beckett, Webster, Coward, Prebble, Shakespeare, Savoy, plus newcomers).
Includes just one lonely - but inevitable - musical.

So far only one, but I have a list of 7 more that will be booked as soon as booking opens. This is all opera & ballet. I very rarely buy musicals or plays that far in advance. I'm now up to 17, 10 of which are at the Royal Opera House. I can certainly say that my average ticket spend is considerably higher than londonpostie's!
