The Fiddler on the Roof transfer page on ATG was up before any official announcement was made. Seems someone got wind of how to find the new pages.

If this is on, that serial liar just made a name for themselves.

Apart from anything else, the Savoy haven't announced the end of 9 to 5 yet, have they? So for that reason alone it's premature to have publicity leak..

Means 9to5 will be closing I suppose? Thanks, I didn’t realise 9 to 5 was theirs. In that case it would certainly ruffle their feathers!

It's happening, I know we're all a sensibly sceptical bunch, but it's happening. Usually once a year there's 1 show I spend more than about £20 on, and it looks like in 2020 it'll be Sunday.
I'm very excited, this is one of my favourite musicals. Like everyone says, Act 2 is a bit odd, but the final 3-song-section along with the uber-famous Finishing The Hat in Act 1 is some of Sondheim's most beautiful work. I could write pages about this, but suffice it to say I'm excited.
I cannot wait.

I saw the ATG page too. But I'm saying..majorly sketchy. A random person isn't going to be able to fake an ATG url that actually works, so regardless of how sketchy this Twitter account usually is, they seem to have stumbled on something solid this time.

Carl Woodward is a notorious bullsh*tter (I was told he was even called out specifically at a recent SOLT meeting as someone PR depts should avoid) but the show is happening - either he stumbled on the page somehow in advance of an announcement or someone in the know tipped him off.

No one, not even Carl, has the time or the energy of going to the extent of making a fake ATG page - it’s authentic, it’s happening, someone tipped him off, and Baz will break the news on Thursday.
And selladoor are still cross with him because he broke the Falsettos news 3 months before anyone else did. He gets info he shares. Not condoning his behaviour sometimes but take what he says as true almost as much as Baz 🤷🏻♂️

im sure he's a nice guy but he comes across as someone who is desperate to be somebody. But his methods will stop that from happening.

I've met him once and he's a very friendly guy. Gets an unfairly rough press, I think.

Read this while running to the loo during Fleetwood Mac tonight.
Sunday was the first Sondheim I really 'listened' to; 2007(?) London recording. I remember listening to the harmonies in the finale and just bursting into tears. I was at a tough point in life, and everything came towards me at once and the stunning score just broke me. I always go back to this when I'm feeling low or need a boost, it's just so beautiful. Easily, in my opinion, one of Sondheim's BEST.
Never in a million years did I expect this production to transfer; I got butterflies and choked up. Musical Theatre is a funny little thing, huh.
I cannot wait to see this, going to try all I can to go on opening night. Already dreading finding out the pricing structure for this!
Cannot wait to see this stunning score performed live after all these years!

Here's the Broadwayworld article if anyone is looking for it: www.broadwayworld.com/article/Breaking-Jake-Gyllenhaal-Annaleigh-Ashford-to-Lead-SUNDAY-IN-THE-PARK-in-London-20190616 I'm a huge ALW fan - and went to see this in NY on a whim. Was having a really awful week, went online on a Friday and found a front-row Orchestra seat for Sat Matinee (two days after the show opened - and people raving about it) I'm not a huge Sondheim fan - really only knew a few of the songs from this and had a vague idea what the show was about - and was absolutely floored by this. Just a stunning theatrical experience. I could never believe it was going to stay with the original "Strictly limited production" and then thought "for sure this will be filmed" (as Sondheim seems to get a bunch of his productions filmed) and was really shocked it didn't happen. Gyllenhal was really amazing. This actually would tempt me to make my first trip to the UK just to see this again.

BWW also posts bootlegs. Their source is..wait, there's no source. They're just reporting on the news that went viral and not reporting a producer's press announcement.

Well this is most unexpected...
I’d urge everyone to not pay the ludicrous £220.. it’s just a concert version essentially, however it is not to be missed for the 2 lead performances which are sublime.
Also expect this announcement very soon..
Mean Girls opening December 2020 after SITPWG...

A handful of staged concerts that then transferred to Broadway. I'm sure along the way more ribbons were tabbed onto frocks and the empty stage became raked - hope that clears things up 😉

Who do we take it off? BroadwayWorld seems to have announced it? Is it when there official twitter goes up or ATG puts tickets back on sale?

So no presale announcement from ATG? They’re just going on sale today after what was obviously a leaked announcement?
Sounds wrong.

I'm not saying Carl's definitely lying here, but given his previous form, I'm very much on the side of "I'll believe it when I see it", and wholly sympathise with other posters who've expressed similar doubts. Sure, I'm happy to accept that this show is on its way to the Strand, but when it comes to the specifics, I'll wait and see what other sources are saying first.

Whilst I also have my doubts as to when its on sale, I think the show itself is happening based on the other evidence
