He's comfortable, of that there's no doubt, but Elton would be considerably richer if he hadn't signed such bad contracts in the early days. Although it was never his money in a personal capacity, the Elton John Aids Foundation has raised something like $400 milion to date. A lot of that has gone to his AIDS foundation. Sunday Times rich list has his net worth at £320 million - so clearly he is not short of a few quid! Mind-boggling to think that he could be considerably richer if not for early poor contracts.

I will make do with the show I’ve booked for Radio City Music Hall in August: he’s doing the rounds isn’t he? Wonder if he will be charging a small fortune for a meet and greet like he is in NYC
