Peter Kay holds the record for something like 21 nights at the o2 but as you say it's pretty amazing for musical theatre to see so many nights. Who knew he would be this popular. What, international movie star and heartthrob Hugh Jackman? Yeah, it's a mystery. Star of massive Sci-Fi franchise, and the biggest movie musical of recent years...yeah no idea lads, no idea.

My battle with the o2 still continues. Funnily enough they tell me they only record some calls for training purposes!!! Yeah right! I'm not giving up but equally I'm not holding out much hope.

Well I can report that the o2 got back to me yesterday and the great news is that they have moved me to the section that I originally booked so I am very happy. They also said that they would be using my comments and suggestions in further staff training so that's a good result too. Just a 5 month wait now

I think someone we are all forgetting, even though they didn't go ahead, The King of Pop sold out 50 nights at The O2 Arena, with more than 1.5 million people crashing websites trying to buy tickets on the initial ticket sales.

This was his last tour and I know this to be a fact as I was there the night someone from the Guinness Book of Records came on stage and presented him with the certificate.

Wasn't the record for tickets sold for a tour? I think he only (only!) played 15 nights at the O2.

Got a ticket for nearly the back row of Madison Square Garden so I can't wait to hear him and ruin my ever decreasing eyesight straining to see him.

It should also be noted, with his Grammy win for The Greatest Showman, Hugh is now an Oscar away from the EGOT.

And will be opening the BRITS!
Gosh, who would have thought that music from a movie musical would end up being performed at the BRIT awards? I mean -
Bonkers.

I quickly read that these people would be singing with him at his o2 concert and was about to offer my tickets for sale. I can breathe again now.

I think they could have put a bit more effort into it personally . . .

Ok, so I'm not sorry I booked for the arena tour now, if that's the sort of thing they're going to do.

Even if they only have 10% of the staging of last night his o2 concert is going to be amazing

But the way it was staged anyone in a white suit could have been singing. Certainly it was a spectacle but no HJ was really needed. But for an opening number it did the job.

His Brits opening was very uneventful, and Hugh was a little mechanical with it all. I’m hoping for more spectacle at his show!

So that's some of the excitement gone - adding Robbie Williams is not my idea of fun, just hoping he doesn't do all dates and mine is the one he misses! Mind you, I suppose that's the toilet break sorted for me.

Got my ticket for the first Sydney show. Couldn't quite stretch myself to the $900 meet & greet VIP tickets FYI - cheapest seats at the back of the arena are $57 ( about 30 gbp ) ranging up to $699 ( about 376 gbp) for non m&g VIP . I am somewhere in the middle.

Unsurprisingly, his Australia/New Zealand tour has pretty much doubled in dates. 😂 the tour is now currently at 72 shows: 25 in Europe, 24 in North America and 23 in Oceania. I imagine we will get at least an Asian leg and possibly South American leg of the tour announced in the not too distant future.
