According to Time Out, the Australian production of Hamilton will be opening in March 2021 in Sydney.
'The NSW State Government has this morning(22/05/19)that the show will open at the Sydney Lyric in March 2021'
Waitlist will be at hamiltonmusical.com.au.

Well I just received the presale alert for this.
Tickets go on sale in early September, so it would seem this is still on schedule for the predicted March 2021 opening.

No cast announced as yet.
I wouldn't be surprised if casting & auditions are being held up by the Covid travel restrictions ( state & international borders are currently closed)
I decided to pass on getting tickets just yet. I'll try my luck when ( if ?) it actually opens.
Oh and it's maintaining it's tradition of tickets costing a small fortune. Cheapest seats are $70 plus booking fee ( approx 40 GBP ) for a restricted view in the back of the gallery.

I think they sound a bit stilted - and by that I mean it's a bit over-pronounced and too placed, particularly compared to the OBC (on the film) and the London cast, who I saw in previews. Both of those seemed much more energetic and had a bit more fire. No doubt it will become more fluid with time, but not my favourite cast at present. |
