It’s obviously going to be a very modern take on the traditional story if those clothes are representative of the costumes.

Years ago I’d have booked 3 or 4 performances by now, but money is tight and the subject matter doesn’t excite me, so l’ll wait and see. So steve does that mean only 1 or 2 performances now

But right now I really couldn’t care less about it.

A longer snippet from Bad Cinderella, the same song that could be heard on the first teaser.

It sounds just a bit too close to the R&H version to me - at least in part.
I am reminded of In My Own Little Corner just a bit too much for comfort

I am reminded of In My Own Little Corner just a bit too much for comfort I agree, I think, being apparently the big chorus, it crosses the line from a cute little nod to too much. I also don't understand why that is the first thing they would like to release.

Not familiar with R&H Cinderella - (not remotely interested...) anyway - so you guys peaked my interest:
there's echos there - but I would think ALW's admiration for R & H and taking this and spinning it differently that whatever echos we hear are intentional. Especially with the intro that he played "Bad Cinderella... Bad Cinderella" then evolving into the chorus.
I'm not massively excited for this (and School of Rock was the first ALW show on Broadway that I didn't even go to see) but am open minded to it all...and will most definitely get the recordings as they are released

Given his reputation for 'borrowing' from other composers, I am not sure this was the right move.
What sounds like an homage to him can be viewed by others as just copying.
And it is true that he is far from being the only composer to be directly 'inspired' by others but I am just a bit surprised that he has chosen this path again.

Hello folks,
I have only read along so far, now I would like to speak: Was one of you at the first performance of "Unmasked" in London. Lloyd Webber played the first melody from Cinderella on the piano. It wasn't "Bad Cinderella", but it was such a nice tune. In the drama a bit like "Til I hear you sing once more".
I loved this tune so much and hope that it will make it onto the show in the end.

I stumbled on that last night on twitter and was pretty excited to hear it. It's amazing how just with some lyrics how different the whole thing was. In my mind the early part was going to be sung by people calling her "Bad cinderella" over and over - that was much more effective. Gosh I hope this is able to open in the Fall

Is that Yvie Burnett outside? I like what i hear, even if part of it does sound like Pulled from The Adams Family.
