It seems they are shifting bookings forward by 4 weeks. A bit ridiculous really when those performances are still going ahead and people tend to book dates for specific reasons (birthdays/holidays etc). I doubt I’ll get to keep my £30 spinny seats from Mondays cancelled show though. Let’s see.

There seems to be plenty of choice at most price points, but my suggested new date was the Linzi date I’d booked for Joseph, so I’ve had to ask for a Saturday in late August.

Watch out if they allocating you different seats. I had tickets with a clear view in row C of the stalls. Got moved to very end seats of row K, which are a restricted side view. When you buy go to buy them, you get a warning. When they move you there, you don't get told!
Plus from there you can hear the cast gossiping in the wings. As they didn't think of sound proofing the fake proscenium they built as part of set. To be fair , trying to work out what cast member was having chicken to dinner was more interesting than the plot in the actual show!

The trailer looks great, but having seen it I can't help but think Ivano is woefully miscast. All that stuff about Sebastian having no chin, not being attractive etc, and there he is looking absolutely adorable. Also, he has a chin! The people of Belleville are apparently blind.

I was booked for Wednesday 18 August matinee, and this afternoon received an email saying that this performance was cancelled, and that my seat had been changed to the same seat for Wednesday 15 September matinee. Have requested that I get changed back to what I had originally, given that 18 August is not actually cancelled ..........

Perhaps Belleville have such unrealistic standards that even Sebastian is considered plain. I do think his understudy suits the role a bit better. I see ALW is threatening to sell his theatres again if he doesn't get Government support, if this was the first time he said it, I might be concerned but he used it as a threat multiple times that it does lose its impact somewhat. I would imagine if it actually came into fruition, he'd probably sell to Access Entertainment who own the Haymarket and who one of the producers of Cinderella.

That’s ridiculous if they’re rebooking every performance and not just the cancelled ones. I was due to go on the 22nd August. I hope they get a load of complaints and realise how stupid that is.

Yes, same. I had tickets for 4th September which they’ve moved to 2nd October which I can’t do as I’m off to & Juliet that night! Have asked why I can’t stick with 4th September, as had tied in with Cadogan Hall concert and booked a hotel specially. I know it’s a tricky job to sort but not sure just shunting everyone forward 4 weeks is helpful!

The trailer is visually very impressive but is “Bad Cinderella” strong enough to sell the show? I’m not sure.

The trailer makes the stage look very empty at times. A few different songs rather than just BC would appeal to more people, surely?

The trailer maker deserves an award. It makes the show look quite good. The show is definitely not good. The wonder of (false) advertising

The trailer is visually very impressive but is “Bad Cinderella” strong enough to sell the show? I’m not sure. No. But you have to go with its strengths... Exactly this. It’s an ear worm which will help punters remember the show and remember to buy tickets. My husband absolutely hates the song because once it’s in your head you can’t get it out.And I can’t think of anything else in the score which is the same lingering power! The trailer looks ok. It does a good job of selling a messy and mediocre show and makes the staging and sets look more impressive than they are. I’m surprised they show Cinderella in her “ball” outfit though. I would have thought they’d keep that a secret so the “reveal” has more impact.

I am genuinely confused by the ‘ball outfit’ it is the most bland, washed out ‘magical reveal’ outfit I’ve ever seen on stage. The pale make up and the blonde/grey? hair add to the meh of it all. Is it a bad representation of the dress in the clip? Does it transform the wearer into a sparkling shimmering goddess in the stage lights? Or is it merely a lazy cipher: goth girl in jackboots rocks up in every girl’s dream meringue to the ball. If I didn’t know the story I would’ve thought Cinderella came back as a ghost to haunt Sebastian at the ball?

As others have said, BC may not be the best sing in the show but the hardest to get out of your head - an advertiser’s dream! The trailer impressed me. I think the thing about Sebastian is that while he’s cute and all, he isn’t the conventional idea of handsome, and Belleville is all about the conventional/stereotypical. (I’m still not sure he & Cinders are right for each other though…she’d eat him alive!)

So much negativity this morning. Did some of you sleep badly? Yes isn’t everyone in this weather? Doesn’t affect my eyesight though? 😂🤷🏻♀️ Thought the trailer was excellent - The dress is still the colour of porridge made with skimmed milk 😉🤔

BurlyBeaR is just back from Farrow and Ball with a tin of vinyl matt. That's how on trend it is! 🤣

The ballgown is studded with a lot of Swarovski crystals, so it does look really nice on stage. It's a shame Carrie doesn't get to properly dance in it at the ball, because when she swishes it as she leaves the stage at the end of Beauty Has a Price, it moves beautifully. I do agree that it doesn't look its best in the promo trailer, but I think it looks a lot better in person.

Maybe the idea is that she's not meant to look quite right in it. Swarovski adds the glitter to something that isn't really her. Though to cut it in Belleville I guess it could/should be ridiculously perfect. A danger that audience members don't understand why she doesn't want to be a typical princess.

Is anyone else still waiting for an email about tickets for what would have been press night? Seeing people having their September tickets moved on twitter, and I haven't heard anything about last week! I know they have a lot of tickets to deal with, but what kind of weird order are they working through? :')

So much negativity this morning. Did some of you sleep badly? Maybe we are negative about a show that is disappointing; is mostly on click track with recorded percussion, has a muddled story, is miscast and a TERRIBLE score from one of our favourite composers of our lives. That’s why we are negative. I also doubt this show of this low standard will get to Broadway.
