A few illnesses are indeed Covid. But also some are not.

Has anyone got Rush tickets for this, if so where were they, Or does it do dynamic pricing? I'd like to see it Friday, but not at the current prices.

We got better seats (Row D in stalls) waiting a bit. As first seats offered were right on side towards back of circle. Tried again at 11am and got better offer. Check how many seats left for sale normally. If there's quite a few empty seats, think they more likely to send todaytix another batch?

I never get why better seats often go on sale later. Surely it's better to fill the more obvious Stalls gaps first and then fill the Circle gaps once the Stalls is full. What's the point of having higher levels fuller but spaces downstairs? Must look odd from the stage.

Can anyone advise on what the grand circle is like for this show/theatre? I've seen some people say you miss some things at the top of the stage from up there?

What's the point of having higher levels fuller but spaces downstairs? Must look odd from the stage. I think it’s because the better seats aren’t always available during the initial rush drop. They’re often house seats or seats originally held back from sale for whatever reason which are thrown out as extra day seats only when it becomes clear they’re not being used by whoever they were intended for (e.g. Cast friends and family). The initial drop are always the “intended” day seats.

Oh my god I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaated this.
Awful score (actually preferred the score to Cinderella and I hated that 😂) and I was left weirdly cold by the effects until the very end (which I can't deny is impressive).
Thought the cast were average across the board, but that may well have something to do with the fact the sound was DIRE and I couldn't hear a word they sang for most of the songs.
But still, the audience lapped it up and it was an audience of people I guess don't normally go to the theatre, so that's good. I'll stick to Frozen if I'm looking for video spectacle.
2 stars

Hey, I'm not knocking it being in the west end (which I have done with other shows I've been in!)
It's getting in an audience who don't think musicals are for them which is great as far as I'm concerned!!

In retrospect I think it was pretty ‘meh’. Yes, some of the effects were impressive (not the last bit with the car on a stick…that was awful…slow and just odd) and I liked a couple of the cheesy 50’s style legit musical songs. But I certainly never need to see it again.

The “car on a stick” is a lot more complicated than we think. The fact we see the car from all angles means the car cannot be on a stick... it’s a lot cleverer than we think.

Yes I realise that, but it was kind of thrown away by being so slow and weird. I’m not taking the achievement away from them but I just don’t need a repeat visit.

I’m in London in a few weeks and want to go and see a musical, is this worth a shot ? I was such a massive fan of back to the future as a kid which is why this appeals. id appreciate any suggestions as well if anyone highly recommends something else 😄

I saw it tonight. I didnt hate it, but it wasn't something i would see again. Now I love a musical, but this had, what felt like, way too many songs. Most of them were ok, but the lyrics were not good. So many false rhymes and those that did rhyme you saw coming a mile off.
It felt like a show for people who dont usually like musicals.
Having only seen the film once years ago, it was interesting to see what got an audience reaction, obviously because its the same in the film. There were lots of the film fans in the house tonight, but that's who this is aimed at.
Staging was excellent, the cast gave it their all and it got huge applause and cheers at the end. I'm glad i saw it through rush tickets (stalls row L, a few seats in from the aisle) For £25 it was well worth the money.

You deserve better. I honestly can't remember ever being more disappointed by a show. The songs are instantly forgettable, the entire thing hangs off the special effects in a way that makes the rest of it seem even flatter and duller than it is, and you can do so much better with what's currently on in the west end!

Saw it tonight. Let’s be real; as a musical it is utterly dreadful. HOWEVER, the cast and those special effects!!!!!!

Tbh I think there's a semi decent play in there with the effects...it's just not a musical

Tbh I think there's a semi decent play in there with the effects...it's just not a musical I was thinking about this, but i'm not convinced it could work as a play, the songs, as bad as they are, allow them to pitch it a certain level and have fun with it more. Maybe a play isnt the right word, because it could work as a 1 hour Back To The Future 'Experience' and make it slightly more immersive.
I wonder if BTTF will give Moulin Rouge a run for it's money in the design awards, come awards season. It's very impressive and i loved that they brought it out into the auditorium. I've yet to see MR on stage, but the pictures ive seen look like a recreation of the film. Yes i understand it's the film, on stage...

Just rowing back to my earlier question about the view for the grand circle for this. Has anyone had experience watching from up there please? Thanks.
