Just seen this email. Rather diaappointed it only goes to Dublin though. Didn’t it go somewhere further afield last year?
The line up certainly seems much better.

Shame it isn't going further afield, not saying Dublin is bad, but it would be great if they could sustain a 7 day cruise somewhere hot! I suppose it will eventually grow bigger, wish them luck with it!

I went last year. Had an awesome time. So far I’m disappointed with the announcements yesterday...I hope I’m wrong. Also hope they have some more up their sleeves...could do with Cassidy Janson onboard....she just about has time in between & Juliet Manchester and London!

I've been feeling like a solo break for a while and this sounded great because i'd be able to find plenty of like minded people ect but if you go solo the cheapest cabin is over £1,000! For a few days at sea, some concerts and a day in dublin, no ta!

Agree. And having spent some time in a premier inn hub room with no window or natural light the idea of an internal cabin doesn’t appeal
It begs the question as to how a cruise company can organise this sort of line up at sea, but apparently no one can do it onshore. I suppose it comes down to the economics. People will pay silly money to go on a cruise liner that they won’t pay to see this stuff on dry land.

In May 2020, Cunard is getting in on the act with it's 7 night London Theatre at Sea cruise on-board Queen Mary 2. That's an 'official' one, in association with SOLT and the Olivier Awards. And what about all those cold Yorkshire winters you've spent hibernating at the back of a cave, BurlyBeaR? Manchester has really changed you! 🙂 |

I would really enjoy this if it wasnt for the fact I get very sea sick. Think it would be great fun being on a ship full of MT fans.
On second thoughts it could end up being full of bitchy old queens and you cant get off the ship.

And all this while you chuck up your buffet dinner on that very choppy Irish Sea. Many years ago, a colleague mentioned they were going to Ireland for a long weekend. I innocently asked if he was going on the ferry, and he visibly paled and looked haunted. He related one of the most traumatising travel stories I've ever heard, involving a ferry crossing to Ireland. Like me, he himself was a perfectly okay sailor but the story (which I won't go into detail on here) was about the horror he witnessed around him, the no-go zones the toilets had become, and what he saw happen to someone when, having decided to just grimly cling to a railing on deck, he witnessed this person step out on to the deck just as the ferry lurched massively to one side in the swell. The image he painted of this person's journey from one end of the deck to the other - first on his back, then on his front - is tattooed on my brain. The colleague assured me it was flights all the way since then, so no, he wouldn't be on the ferry. Superimposing that on to the idea of this 'festival' with its acts and buffet is both ghastly and potentially very funny. |

Where do the 'stars' stay on this cruise? Do they get some kind of area away from the fans to hang out? It's my understanding on a regular cruise ship it's fairly easy to get to all parts of the ship except the crew areas which I imagine aren't very glamorous.

Oo, I'd be tempted with that line up too! I did the one last year but found the line up this year a bit underwhelming so gave it a miss. |

The Barrowman fans I've come across are pretty happy (although I swear that #Fabulous thing is annoying). But Ramin & John Owen Jones!
