A wise decision. They will need something to replace Aladdin in the coming year or two, and it will be the right sort of time for a new generation of theatre-goers to discover it. It works great on-stage.

Aladdin is still making a cool million a week, it’s not going anywhere soon. The original Beauty and the Beast is so special to so many people, I hope Disney doesn’t “enhance” it.

Enough time has passed to revive Beauty and the Beauty but I don't think it should be a carbon copy of the original production. A new creative team could do wonders to it.

Totally agree Jon and please don't make it some over designed bad ass of a production, again

This was one of the first musicals I ever saw I am so glad it’s returning. I would love to see a completely new version of it with incredible sets and new technology no one has seen before. Christy altimore as belle John riddle for the beast or josh groan. This show is special to me as it is for many people I don’t want a cheaply looking version. It’s broadway make it big the bigger the better. 😊 hopefully it will be open by October 2020 for when I’m back in New York 😊😊😊

I don't think I can go through another Disney fanatics freaking out over an ice-less castle. I would think they'd base this new adaptation on the film version. There's a cruise ship version based on the film and the enchanted creatures look pretty cool.
