Was going to post this in the Three Sisters thread because it stemmed from looking at the opening night pics but I decided it might be a topic worthy of it's own discussion...
I had no idea that Adam James was married to Harmony from 'The Queen's Nose'!
It got me to thinking - which couples in theatre, film and telly-land did you not know were dating/married/recently divorced until suddenly one day, there it was right in front of you and you couldn't help but think (for at least 5 seconds) - how did I not already know that?!!

I just found out that Emma Portner, who choreographed Bat Out Of Hell, is married to Ellen Page, I did a LOT of googling to make sure I hadn't misunderstood that one.

I got really excited when I found out Laura Wade and Sam West were together (I think they're both lovely people). And Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Martin McDonagh! One of those couples that make you go, "Of COURSE you're dating, you crazy people."
A lot of famous British thesp marriages are quite funny I think - like one half is really, really good, and the other tries to piggy back on the other's fame with limited success.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge can do SO much better. Agreed, but I think Phoebe is a babe and deserves EVERYTHING. The queen should step aside tbf, and just let our Pheebs do her to-camera side-eyes during the Christmas speech.

I recently found out Richard Fleeshman and Celinde Schoenmaker are dating. I honestly thought he was gay.

Of course he may also offer to help out at busy times if approached nicely

It always blows my mind a little that Macaulay Culkin and Mila Kunis dated for like 5 years!

I love Fleabag and really enjoyed Crashing but I'm starting to tire a bit of all the PWB-is-a-goddess stuff. But I'm glad she's there. I don't find her that much of a 'babe' but I've just started Broadchurch series 2 and something about her barrister look is extremely nice, plus that character underlines what a beautiful voice she has. She must have used it differently in Fleabag and Crashing. A handbag-clutching "ooooh!" for the suggestion she can do better than McDonagh!

Not so much shock but an “aw” that Imelda Staunton And “Carson the Butler” are married. I wonder if they met during The Singing Detective. I just commented on Phoebe WB's voice. Jim "Carson" Carter - now there's a voice I can bathe in. It's like something creamy and rich with smooth dark chocolate, served in a fine ceramic bowl, atop a soft velvet cushion. File alongside Bill Paterson's voice, which is more like a good quality moist Dundee cake, served with a 25yo Highland Park single malt.

Not so much shock but an “aw” that Imelda Staunton And “Carson the Butler” are married. Sticking with Downton, I saw a pic of Penelope Wilton and Kevin Doyle having a (potentially only-friendly but maybe more) smooch at the opening night of Fanny and Alexander at the Old Vic last year. Does anybody if they're officially an item? Just remembered, my other big OMG moment in this category was years ago when I found out that Robert Lindsay and Rosemarie Ford were a couple.

For the Imelda Staunton/Jim Carter fans, there is a fabulous vid on You tube of them doing a q&a at the National, talking about meeting and their early recollections of the National. It's a brilliant watch.

Not so much shock but an “aw” that Imelda Staunton And “Carson the Butler” are married. I mentioned this in another thread (forget which) but they do a lot for charity, and I met them recently at a Breathe Magic event (they are patrons of the charity) which my little nephew was attending because he has hemiplegia, and they are total class acts 😍 My nephew wants to become an actor now 😆
