Like it or not, it's back on the 25th September.
I've never enjoyed it…surprising given it's subject matter!

I've enjoyed it every time so far but will give it amiss this year. Can't make the date but even if I could I'm not keen on seeing it in a traditional theatre. I always felt that the club atmosphere of Cafe de Paris worked well for this event.
Prices are pretty steep too. Premium stalls tickets at £100 and the rest of the front stalls at £80.

Does anyone know the date for this year's event? I think I read somewhere that details were to be announced at West End Eurovision on sunday just gone.
Thanks

Anyone know of any deals for this? Had a look on TodayTix but they are trying to pass off seats as a discounted rate of £35 off when they are actually the same price as standard on the main website!

If I remember, it discounted on TodayTix last year.
The year before (the only time I went) they discounted through the box office, advertised through email and social media. I think there were also some late dynamic pricing discounts.
I remember going to the Sunday evening performance of In The Heights, catching the tube and most of the ITH cast arrived by car to take their place in the audience about the same time as I did.
For me personally, I wouldn’t have gone at full price, but the discount meant a filled seat and I got to experience the event, which I can’t imagine I’d have gone to otherwise. Not enough of my thing to drag me back without a good discount, but it was an experience and could see a lot of people having a great time (including some of the performers who loved posing in the audience, being handled and having money shoved deep into their briefs).

Can somebody please explain the point of this? (excluding the charity angle)

Basically, it's prurient human instinct to be interested in what others look like with some of their clothes off. This type of event monetarises that prurience to raise money for charity. In a nutshell... or indeed posing pouch in this instance. @theatremonkey.com Beautifully phrased, my thoughts exactly, was hoping there was more to it that went completely over my head

The one year I went it was much more about the dancing than the singing. It wasn’t as sleazy as it sounds - even the ‘stuffing money in people’s pants’ bit was quite well-behaved. Think burlesque, not Magic Mike XXL.

In the States, it also is a creative showcase for some very inventive dance numbers, and it allows dancers to be front and center in ways they sometimes do not get in their actual shows.

We went for our first time on Sunday and really enjoyed both the show and party afterwards.
For those we met I was the Liza Minnelli lookalike 😜 (Don’t know how to add picture here I’m afraid 😢)

I thought last year's event was wonderful, the singing & live band really added to the occasion.
Does anyone happen to know if the date for this year's 10th Anniversary show has been confirmed yet? Thanks

Thank you. Already done that, their communication is somewhat patchy (understandable given the small charity context) so I thought the grapevine might be a better bet than waiting for official announcements

I've only been to 3 but it's very much become the highlight of the theatrical year. Now doubt the milestone anniversary will be suitably spectacular

Last year they announced the date for West End Bares at the Eurovision event, does anyone know if they did the same this year? Thanks 🙂

They didn’t announce anything. It’s advertised in the WE Eurovision programme, but without a date.

Twitter spat between Carrie Hope Fletcher and organiser David Grewcock on lack of body diversity of participants. Such a shame the focus is being pulled from the good work this charity does

Maybe Carrie was a little strong but they were both pretty civilised and understanding in their conversation - especially David.

Thought David was very professional in his replies.
