Good venue for Fun House as I imagine it would have struggled in a commercial theatre, I assume it'll be in the round

So, can we get Jenna Russell off Albert Square and down to SE1? Wrong 'Vic', that's the Queen Vic. agree great venue for this, designed to be in the round, preferred the off Broadway Cast Recording to the Broadway Cast Recording. I wonder if this will be a hot ticket in the lesbian community?

By the way, it's in the wrong section, it is a play with music.

By the way, it's in the wrong section, it is a play with music. No it's definitely a musical. It won Best Musical at the Tonys, there are numerous songs and they develop plot and character.

That said, Harry Potter should be a musical according to Magic Radio's Oliviers hosts, so who knows what's what

One of the best American musicals of the last decade, a great contemporary score and a compelling story with an intriguing structure. Presumably it will be later and miss an Olivier contest with Hamilton.

Good news, they both deserve to be showered with awards like they both were at the Tonys.

This is the best announcement for a while! I saw this in New York and worried it would get forgotten about over here, the Young Vic is the perfect theatre for it

Good. Leave it to the fringe to rescue us from the dire selection of commercial musicals currently running in London.

Looking at the past season announcements they normally announce most of a year's shows in one go in September, although this year the big announcement was January. They currently have the schedule announced till end of November.

Debatable if awards mean much to the masses. I personally can't be bothered with them

Do we know if it's a replica of the Broadway version or are they doing their own adaptation?

We've already clarified it's not competing against Hamilton, it will be the year after. It should win based on merit alone as it's one of the best musicals of the century, but it's not undeniable like Hamilton and the Oliviers can be weird so let's see.
Excited and nervous to see who they cast for this. The original cast was so perfect, especially Cerveris, Sydney Lucas and Beth Malone.
