I have my doubts it'll transfer, that's just wishful thinking and selling well on tour isn't the same as selling well in the West End.

I'm quite excited for this, but not enough to travel to its currently quoted venues. An extended tour, if not a transfer, would be greatly welcomed!

Judging from that Variety review, unless it's been significantly rewritten then I fear it'll be slaughtered by critics.

Charley: great news!
Danny: awful! Cheese o rama!!
Now torn as to whether to see it at the Lowry. I don't think a Ken Doll is right for that role.

So harsh!
Danny is a great performer.. loved him on Strictly. He was a sensational dancer. Can he sing? Will he be shirtless?

It sounds laughably bad, perhaps even to Exposure the Musical levels of unintentional hilarity, in its previous guise. I wonder if that is part of the reason for the change of name which otherwise makes little sense from a marketing perspective.

Oh if Danny gets shirtless the I am sold. It seems pretty clear that this will have three types of audience members: hen parties, the gays and men dragged along my their partners or gay friends.

The worry is that the creative team is really naff.. no A list talent involved.

I thought the original movie was stupid. If I remember it right the son who only lost his mother a little over a year before is trying to set up his father on a date. One year and the son is up for a new mom. I do not think that was, is or will be realistic. I may have been in the few but did not like it so cannot possibly understand a musical around it.

Interesting casting. Heaven knows how they're going to shoehorn a samba into this though . . .

The kid also managed to buy a plane ticket and travel from Seattle to NYC alone and unaccompanied. ER, I DONT THINK SO! I can imagine the reviws now... "Pointless...." "Plotless..." "Shameless..." etc etc ive booked though. Can't wait!

I'd be really surprised if this doesn't come to London for a limited run judging by the casting and it being only a 3 day tour.
I've heard it could be going to Broadway but I don't think Danny & Carley would go too. I would LOVE to see them on stage together so even if this doesn't transfer, I hope they do another musical together soon!

I very nearly was going to put a trip in to Plymouth to see this and Trekkie Monster - Glad I didn't, wonder if they will be able to keep the principles or they will get released from their contracts?

I've never heard of that before. Automatically transferring your booking to a totally different show and if we don't hear from you we assume that is OK.

Interesting way of doing it, for sure, but I'm sure they will still have to honour any later requests for refunds. I suspect a good number of people won't even read the email and the first they will know of it is when the Ghost tickets come through the letterbox (hopefully with a covering letter explaining why they have - otherwise there will be a lot of very confused people out there!).

I'm very sorry to hear about the illness in the producers family but aren't there usually contingencies in place for that sort of thing? It's 3 months away, there must have been some considerable investment already, do productions just get pulled like that? Seems a bit odd...

54 quid back in my handbag then. Now, what can I buy? BREAKING NEWS: "A shortage of Pickled Onion Flavour Monster Munch is upsetting large numbers of consumers in the Northern region of England at the present time." BREAKING NEWS: "A lorry carrying chilled desserts including luxury trifles was hijacked this afternoon on the M6. Police have taken a man into custardy..." 😐

"Dear Ticketholder
We are sorry to announce that Sleepless has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales unforeseen circumstances.
As we anticipate that at least 80% of the audience will be completely tanked up on lambrini before the show and will spend much of the show checking their emails and popping out to the bar and the loos, we have exchanged your tickets to a production of Ghost as it's unlikely you'll notice the difference"

This is a shame.
He'd have been good casting for An American in Paris

Danny Mac must be gutted - he must have hoped for a career boost after his successful stint in Strictly.

This is a shame. He'd have been good casting for An American in Paris Mr Barnaby - I had thought that myself. He had a very masculine and Gene Kelly style of dancing on Strictly which I thought would have suited the style of the show. I thought I read somewhere that Robert Fairchild wasn't staying long and Ashley Day was lined up to take over afterwards. I guess I'll have to content myself with the Strictly Live tour in Leeds on Friday......

Danny Mac must be gutted - he must have hoped for a career boost after his successful stint in Strictly. Strictly has boosted his career. He will no doubt be lined up for several other musicals and will easily get a job in musicals but it would've been nice to see him star alongside his finance, Carley. I love Carley's work but not sure she's as famous as Danny at the moment?
