Jeffrey Bernard will be portrayed by Robert Bathurst as per a tweet by Baz.
Booked a standing ticket, not many tickets left when I booked just now.

Looks like they've all gone now - when you click on the links each says 'Sold Out'. I hope they extend the run.

All sold out again sadly I think. I quite fancied this but looked for tickets last night and only a few single tickets left for the extra dates and a friend wanted to come with me. Fingers crossed for even more extra shows (and being quicker off the mark next time)

The unwellness of Jeffrey Bernard is greatly exaggerated.
A great old Soho pub, character remains unchanged from when Jeffrey was a regular which will be sadly be destroyed if the landlords plans are implemented, hopefully this run will provide enough publicity to change their minds and will now pop in again when I’m in Soho to support the current landlord until his eviction.
From the finding of your seat to getting a drink everything sets up a first class pub experience as conversation flows with the other patrons as we figure out our way to the allocated seating.
Jeffrey wakes up after falling asleep in the toilets and finds himself alone and locked in, anecdotes flow as copiously as the vodka as we are regained with a life ‘well’ lived.
So glad I managed to grab a ticket, in all a very special evening.

Saw this tonight. It's a very enjoyable evening, without being a great theatrical experience. Bathurst does a decent job of playing the raconteur but there's very little sense of the darkness of someone who has a profound addiction. I didn't see the original play so I don't know if it was never there or if it got excised for this adaptation into a one-man show.
The setting is great, it's all very nicely put together and it's great to see this performed in one of the spaces that inspired it, but for me it wasn't much more than a very decent performance.
