Is Miranda over the title in Annie? On Broadway if the producers put a star over the title (Bettle Midler in Hello Dolly; Glenn Close in Sunset Blvd) they are in a sense marketing the star over the show and you can exchange or get your money back. I believe she is above the title and her name is also scattered about all over the Picadilly. I also think they should give people refunds/exchanges because they have heavily marketed it off her. (I'm not saying it's Miranda's fault for being ill or anything like that)

If someone is indisposed and cannot perform, there isn't a lot anyone can do. Medical advice is usually sought so that has to be respected. Plus if she is working with a large company of children then it makes sense to "isolate" her.
Has anything been said who will do doing Saturday shows when Craig takes over, Lesley Joseph often covered it on tour but she will be in Young Frankenstein this time. I wonder if Anne will just cover these show or might they look to get a "name" in.

I've just looked, and there is no 'small print' on the back of an ATG ticket, so this is the wording from a Delfont Mackintosh ticket (magnifying glass required).
"We reserve the right to make alterations to the advertised time, programme and cast as a result of circumstances beyond our control. If there is a material change to the content of the performance or the performance is cancelled, you may exchange your ticket for an alternative performance...or refund your ticket and booking fee."
I'm far too honest to be a lawyer, but everything seems to revolve around what is, and is not, a material change.

I'm far too honest to be a lawyer, but everything seems to revolve around what is, and is not, a material change. I interpret that "material change" to be a change to the physical production i.e. when Les Mis was performed concert-style recently. Or if the washing machines all broke so the cast had to perform in their tighty wighties...I would think it means that sort of stuff, though I'm sure a bigger expert than me will correct me if I'm wrong

From ATG Tickets website: "5.1 The Event Partner(s) reserves the right to make alterations to the published Event programme where reasonably necessary. Where such alteration is a material change (as described in clause 7), You will be entitled to claim a refund in accordance with clause 7." Clause 7: www.atgtickets.com/terms-and-conditions/

ATG emailed me yesterday offering ticket exchange as Miranda wasn't on (which I didn't take).

Does anyone have any idea if the girls playing Annie do certain days/performances? One of the Annies sounds horrible and I would prefer not to has to listen to those strained vocals.

There is a performance schedule for the three teams, but I don't think it's as neat as "team 1 always do Tuesdays, team 2 always does matinees" for pretty much the same reason that they won't publicly publish a performance schedule.

Thanks for the reply ๐. I thought as much - I'll just have to book a ticket and hope for the best.

Anyone remember who took over from Craig on the recent UK tour? From what I remember no one "took over" as such, the role was shared from start to finish between Craig, Lesley Joseph, Elaine C Smith and Jodie Prenger.

Regarding the Annie, let me just say that if you do see her, you won't be disappointed. The other two girls are definitely stronger vocally but she is an incredible actress and dancer

From what I've seen I actually feel like her dancing and facial expressions are too much. There is being good and then there is looking like you have just consumed too much sugar. I'd definitely prefer an Annie who can act and sing well.

The Annie I saw was an irritating little madam. The worst kind of affected stage school precocious performance.

Jesus, Miranda obviously got bored as hell after a few weeks. I suppose it's not for everybody. She should've thought about that before signing a contract, though. Her stamina sucks, has to be said.

PEOPLE GET ILL. GET OVER IT. Sorry to be rude but you don't know Miranda, you have no proof to suggest anything different to what's been said; she's ill with a throat infection, which can't be helped.

Not particularly fair on her for you to put her down like that and jumping to conclusions. Sometimes actors gets ill and there is no more to the story.
