Love it.

If he wears the same bad hair piece as he wore in Fun Home, Zubin Varla can definitely play the Duke.
And Olaf should be played by a male...just sayin'.

The only realistic time you could open the show was in Autumn/Spring 2020.
As the cold didn’t both me anyway.

I get what you mean haha. I would actually think Simon Lipkin would be a good choice for Olaf? No?

I agree. With all his puppet experience, he could be a great Olaf. He'd be wasted as Sven.

That would be amazing! Could definitely see Simon and Richard too. I haven't quite decided who I would like to see as Anna yet though...probably someone a little younger than Patti Murin though, although she does a great job on Broadway.

Saw this on Broadway and I was so underwhelmed. As Disney musicals go this is not one of their best. But I’m sure it’ll do great (despite the size of the theatre) and it’s an enjoyable enough few hours!

So many people said to me today "have you heard the news about frozen?' But it's not news as we have known for a long time it was going in the Drury Lane after the refurbishment. Maybe us theatre goers keep our ears to the ground more.

Olaf didn’t work for me and the whole thing felt like a regional production. Dare I mention the set and no ice castle and the production in general was disappointing. The music and performances were great though. I wish it well and it will so super business here - I just wish they had made better and less safe choices. It’s my least favourite Disney stage show and favourite Disney film!

I think that as Drury Lane is so large backstage, they might have the capability to store a large ice castle and use during the show.

Guys, TELL me we're not going to start complaining about the lack of ice castle in *this* thread as well, especially as the show's still a good 18 months off!

I think considering the set is very disappointing - especially during LIG we can. The plot music and performances are great but the show was average for me.

Baemax is right, we had about 20 odd pages on the Broadway thread about the lack of ice castle. Who knows, maybe it will happen? But can we leave this debate until much nearer the time?

Well it's opening in Sydney in July, which is our winter. But the way the weather is lately it will probably be a melted ice castle by August. The new Disney musical re-imagined for Australian conditions - 'SemiFreddo'!

Even Disney on Ice had an ice castle. They could borrow theirs!

How do open auditions work? I imagine them as an X Factor type nightmare where anyone can just turn up, alongside actual professional musical theatre actors.

There is an ageing reindeer called Rudy in the stables near where I live.Might speak to Farmer John to see if he fancies a road trip to the auditions lol.By the way,any updates on the dreaded ice-castle? I imagine the audiences are going to be made up of screechy ten-year old girls dressed as Elsa (£19.99 from the Disney Store) with glow sticks and buckets of candy-floss (electric blue coloured),accompanied by stressed-out parents. The Bad Behaviour thread will be in melt-down with this.
