She’s 46. It’s a bit of a stretch for Elsa but hopefully she’s great.

Jenna had been doing a lot of work with the Queen Symphonic tour in the last couple of years. She has a great voice but having a much older Elsa will give it a different dynamic.
Sam has kept her pregnancy quiet and the costume department must have had to work some magic to disguise it as there has been no mention of it with her performing to a few thousand people each week.
Good luck to her and her partner with the upcoming arrival.

It seats 1996 people, even a poor week sees at least 10,000 people through the doors! 🤣

I was expecting them to announce something after seeing it so was not surprised when they announced.

Tempted to see this again but in two minds.
I have to say I didn't enjoy it much when I went. I stupidly booked for a weekday matinee thinking the kids would all be at school and how clever I was. I was not. I know kids are a target audience for this but it is still a West End serious show with traditional etiquette still applied. Like it wasn't even that bad in hindsight but I'm autistic and really not great with any unexpected noise (like phones going off, talking, crying) during a show and I couldn't focus and got overwhelmed and just sort of froze up (lol). Fine with the actual show cause I expect it from the stage, not around me if that makes sense? I wish parents would consider if their child can cope for a 2 1/2 hour show and if not, wait until they're older or go to a relaxed performance. Aware some children are disabled and can't help it - totally fine but they usually go to relaxed performances to reduce sensory overload. Sorry for the nonsense paragraph, and aware many children behave wonderfully and adults behave bad too. I just don't want screeching kids behind me while parents look on adoringly! Sorry if I have upset anyone xx

Sorry if I have upset anyone xx I would book for a Wednesday night in September once the schools go back. Granted, there will still be kids there, but parents are less likely to take them straight after they start back at school.
Does anyone know why Frozen is closed on Wednesday 13th and Thursday 14th September?

Hate to admit it but yesterday's matinee felt a little less tight than last time I saw it. Still loved it but last month (when Char Burnett was on as Anna for the whole week) it felt flawless.
I did really like Emily Lane's Anna, she plays it more princess-y, very confident but naive. Burnett plays it a bit more shy and quirky. I like both of their interpretations, clearly made it their own.
Jemal Felix was on as Kristoff, and while he sang really well and looked really cute, I feel like he missed a bit of wit in his acting. Especially when he was talking with Sven, he didnt really do the switching between voices very well. He got better as the show went on. Understudy was on for the duke, he was fine but not laugh out loud funny like I think Richard Frame was.
Samantha seemed to struggle a bit during Monster, which surprised me. That said, her Let It Go got the loudest roars and applause I've heard in a theatre for quite some time. It mustve been louder than the actual applause at the end of the show, it was insane.
So while it was still really good, I feel like ive seen the show in slightly better shape.

Since Obi left I’ve only ever seen Jamal play Kristoff.

Does anyone know where the seats are for the 'Magical Mondays' ? Or is it random depending on availability ? Random depending on availabilty as far as I can tell from what I've been offered before.
I've had back corners of the Royal Circle, the extra legroom seats on row M of the stalls where the wheelchair positions are, the stalls slips, and centre stalls row L&M. So it can really vary.

Thanks! I'm not too bothered what seats I get to be honest, as long as I manage to get them. Although, extra legroom on Row M does sound good I'm going to try for Wednesday at 2pm, have you always managed to get them when you've tried ?

But don't forget if they seem to have all gone at 12, go back onto it slightly later and the seats may have released back if people haven't purchased them.

We got slap bang centre of stalls row H last Sunday, and I’ve had row L before then; both perfect views.

We got slap bang centre of stalls row H last Sunday, and I’ve had row L before then; both perfect views. I ended up getting seats in the Royal Circle Row E! They were at the side but still an excellent view. On another note, Jenna Lee-James was on as Elsa which was her debut and she was spectacular. I couldn't fault her in any way to be honest. She looked a lot like Samantha with all the Elsa get up on and if I'd been sitting on a higher level, with my crap eyesight, I wouldn't have questioned you if you'd told me it was Samantha on the stage. Also, it's hard to believe she's 48 years old, she doesn't look a day over 25. evilmat360

So it was Samantha's last show pre-maternity leave last night! Her Let it Go was, as usual, something to behold. I did wonder if there might be any speeches or anything at the bows, but there wasn't. Really hope she'll be back, but given all the rumours here I'm a bit worried it will close before she can!

Every time this thread gets bumped, I hope it is announcing the closure of this awful show. Extended once more... aarrggghh. Such a waste of a wonderful theatre.

I think you’ll find most people love this show and are pleased it’s extending again. It’s one of the best shows in the West End and absolutely belongs in the Drury Lane.

Each to their own but I love this show, curious as to what's so bad about it? For me the whole experience. From the 'talkative' audience to the spoilt brats dressed up in Disney costumes, to the padding of the songs (not the seats, they were fine), to the dated effects, to the emotional vacuum of the whole piece. Personally, I can't stand it, and I don't wish to spoil anybody else's enjoyment of this show as it clearly means a lot to many people, so I'll keep my criticism to that... but then I liked Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Lord of the Rings, so perhaps I'm not the best judge of what is right for this theatre...

Oh I think this absolutely fine for what it is - great introduction to West End theatre for a lot of people.
It's big, loud, bright and colourful, with good music (some of the new songs aren't great but mostly they fair alright) and it doesnt overstay it's welcome at 2hrs 15 all in.
Would much rather this hung around than some of the other crap we have in London at the moment 😂

I wonder if LW Theatres hasn't got a show in place to replace Frozen just yet.
