Does anyone know if you can ask someone to sue the lift up to the balcony or does this have to be arranged in advance? Thanks

Thanks I believe it can happen on the day but your best bet would be to ring the box office when they open just to confirm. Also, there may be an email address on the lw theatres website to ask a question to the staff of the Drury Lane.

Perhaps they will add an ice castle? Haha There’s a huge new ice staircase for London. So that’s something. Won’t save the show though.

I just hope the staging for Monster is the same as it was on Broadway. The US tour and Australian productions (and I'm guessing all future productions) obviously had to remove the growing ice spikes since they couldn't have trapdoors but the way they replaced it was horrendous. The ice spikes in monster was one of the very FEW good things I saw watching the show on Broadway.

so what are the big changes for london? They’ve cut that horrible ballad True Love thank goodness. Let it go end of act one gets a staircase Ice spikes removed from monster (maybe rolled on instead?) A new duet song for Anna/Elsa called “I Can’t Lose You” Kristoff is also given a reprise of “What Do I Know About Love?” to better express his growing feelings for Anna. The second-act opener “Hygge” is trimmed down (or maybe cut?) And hopefully MUCH more A good read www.londonboxoffice.co.uk/news/post/frozen-musical-london

No. They are gone. …. Well that’s a huge disappointment. The original staging for the song was so dramatic and stunning. The new staging for it is really boring and drags out a song that’s meant to be important to Elsa’s character development.

Very sad that a better show isn’t opening Drury Lane. Hopefully this won’t be hanging around too long (like it’s short Broadway run)

Agreed I saw it on Broadway and it just doesn't work as an engaging piece of theatre. It's much more of a Beauty and the Beast (ala just put the film on stage with the same design and the same orchestrations) compared the majestic theatrical experience of Taymor's The Lion King. It's almost like it's embarrassed to be theatre? Michael Grandage just wasn't right for this sort of material and I think everyone else knows it apart from him.

You may think that, but I would choose to see Frozen over The Lion King any time. Yes, the opening of TLK is spectacular, but past that I was bored. Whereas of the five shows I saw in New York a couple of years ago, Frozen was second only to Beetlejuice for me.

Personally I'm absolutely thrilled we're getting Frozen. Couldn't give a damn about the movie but saw the show in New York and absolutely loved it. Best child performer I've ever seen as Young Anna, gorgeous costumes (this coming from someone who makes costumes), excellent new songs. I wish it a long and prosperous run over here

Give me the original production of BatB over TLK any day. As previously said, TLK is boring after the first 10 mins. BatB had some great new songs added for the stage version, the designs were great, it had big spectacle and the transformation scene was amazing.
