Another volunteer over here!
He said at stage door that he is moving to America. I hope he does very well there.

I still keep thinking about the reaction at the end of the staircase number. I don't think I'll ever experience anything like it again. The ovation was instant. Not like a few people got up and others joined. It was literally everyone at the same time as if we had all decided between us before hand that we would do it. And the cast reaction to it all was wonderful. Lots of them in tears and so many comments by them on social media saying they have never experienced anything like it. Partly our way of saying to the ensemble, Clare and Ashley that it was them that made the show what it was and giving them their own ovation at this point rather than at curtain call.

All seats gone, but the staircase remains, as it should.

So much for the "the taking of photographs and use of recording equipment is strictly prohibited".
BUT I am eternally grateful for those crew members who ignored it, otherwise we would never get the chance.to see all these wonderful videos. Just wish I was tech savvy enough to figure out how to save them all to watch again and again.

I think it just shows the love for this production and cast, that everyone wanted to celebrate and they knew that final staircase especially was going to be such a special moment, you could feel it. They would of had permission to film and distribute and that's the great thing otherwise they would of been removed by now. As for these videos, this thread will always be here even though the show is closed now, and the links to these videos will be here, so we will always get to see them when we want too.

Am I right in thinking that Bibi is Bonnie Langford's daughter, who was already working as an usher at Drury Lane when her mother was offered the role of Dorothy?

So because we all know you, Daniel, and you've kinda met Bibi, albeit unknowingly, does that mean we are all now related to not only Bonnie, but all the Strallens too?

She was perfectly lovely but even if I knew it would of been so weird to ask her about her mother surely out of the blue for her at least, or her relatives? Believe it or not, I'm not the stalker mentioned earlier in the board ๐ I don't know the casts addresses or where they live or anything, unlike some! ๐

That family love unusual names. You have Babette (mum) Bonnie and Bibi and the Strallens have Summer, Scarlet, Zizi and Saskia. Soooooo showbiz.

It's so crazy watching the videos of the staircase from the wings, because of the tapping you almost can't hear the deafening applause and cheers when they started marching down. ๐

Ah make sense. The Langfords all B and Strallens all S. My family are all A but we are not nearly as glitzzy.

I think I prefer Zizi. Her 'real' name sounds a little like a nasty disease!
Bibi's 'real' name is Biana Jay.
My 'real' name really is Paul!

I adore that bit of the show.
Not ashamed to say I've watched the videos on You Tube from when they performed it on The One Show and This Morning about half a million times.

You know who needs to come back to the West End?
Clare Halse. It's been too long. ๐ข

I watched Ashley Day's video on Monday and it just made me so sad. I wonder how long the mourning process will take
