I can't wait to see it next week, I think it is going to be a brilliant show based on what i've seen/heard!

Best of luck to the cast and everyone involved on the first preview tonight! Looking forward to hearing thoughts from those there tonight (I'm sure a few people will be there!)

Well I just got a message from daniel who is there tonight, apparently the Box Office buggered up and sold his front row seats to someone else, so they have moved him to Row M Premium Seats!

Was it the box office that buggered the tickets up or was it the agent ? Perhaps it was the box office who rectified the situation ?

I'll update with a proper review afterwards. But for those interested about seating, I'm AA20 and I can't imagine a better view. There is nothing at all in front, the stage is low and you can see every tap.
The show itself is incredible, but the £15 seat is the bargain of the year. Thank you to whoever first noticed them and posted on here!

Cool I'd just be interested to know. I think it's sad sometimes that the box office get the bad wrap when they are actually trying to help the best they can and make good on a bad situation.

I won the TodayTix lottery for Kinky Boots in January, showed up to the theatre and someone was sat in my seat at the end of the row, we all went to the box office as none of our confirmationd were wrong, turned out TodayTix had sent me the wrong seat number! The upside for me is I was actually the central seat in the front row and I complained to TodayTix and got my money back plus £10 gift voucher.

Was there tonight too. Wow wow wow wow wow!! If you haven't booked, book now. It's a proper vintage show, with lots of randomly daft bits in, but the set pieces are outstandingly staged. The energy in these big numbers is almost overwhelming and we were up in the Grand Circle. Sheen Easton was very good, and will bed in and can go bigger with her diva, but Clare Halse is incredible. A star is definitely born. The most uplifting night I've spent in a theatre. End of.

The people that will keep this show running are all across the country and won't even have a cue that 42nd Street is on in the West End yet. Previews always comp for the most part in the West End. Even after Press Night too. Then, word of mouth and the reviews take hold, and the shows run and run. This one will run at least for 2 years. But grab a comp whilst you can, if you can.

It's stunning. A true spectacle!
I thought while I was watching it that no youngsters would have seen anything like it. True enough as I left the theatre a young man was on his phone saying "it's incredible, I can't believe what I've just witnessed"!
A company of 50 and an orchestra of 20! Fabulous costumes and sets! The opening number is sensational and they just keep coming. Stunning synchronised tap dancing that will blow your socks off!
The £15 front seats are an absolute steal. You don't miss a tapping foot!
I have already booked to go again - very unusual for me.

When I say the Box Office buggered up our seats, it wasn't the Box Office agent in the theatre, he was lovely and very helpful - it was the See Tickets agent, still the Box Office so basically, I'd changed seats from the balcony to the front row, and somehow managed to release my new seats and sell them to someone else in the process! Not sure quite how it happened but the team at Drury Lane were really helpful and we ended up in the house seats on Row M, amazing view! Now for the show...wow wow WOW. I was blown away. I'm not generally one for dance shows but holy sweet mother of Jesus this was bloody good. 41 people in the ensemble alone, some of the tap sequences were just phenomenally good. And the set, it's a visually stunning production, they've clearly chucked a tonne of money at this. Obviously it's a first preview so there's always going to be room for improvement - some of the tap could be tightened up and I'm sure that will happen over the next few weeks, but it was in very good shape for a first preview. Seemed to be a full house, instantaneous standing ovation at the end. Such an amazing response from the audience, I've never heard such appreciation mid-song - this wasn't the annoying sort like our dear whooping friends in Wicked, but genuine applause, marvelling at what was on the stage. This show deserves to run and run, I hope it finds an audience. 5 stars.

Don't you think the competition with American In Paris will sink both shows, both being dance orientated and in big theatres?
