I'm going tonight. I've got a dayseat. I can't believe I was the only one waiting when they opened except for a man who arrived just before opening but wanted an advance ticket. I've got AA5.

Glad to hear you got a decent seat. I'm not surprised at lack of dayseat lines at the mo. September is notably a quiet month after the Summer, kids went back to school today, no one has money because Summer is expensive, all the tourists have left and its a Monday so its quieter anyway. Also, alot of fans of this show have clicked on thst this show has a very open dayseat policy where there isn't too much pressure to get there as soon as the box office opens, they tend to be kind and accomadate even if you turn up just an hour before the show. Really hope you enjoy Bonnie and the show!

Hearing very positive interval tweeting.
The production photos are also magnificent although this one does look more Nancy than Dorothy!

I've heard she is very, very funny based on twitter. It sounds like she is going to be a great addition to the show.

Bonnie Langford is one of the original triple threats in the UK. She started off her career very young, and was known a precocious child because of the role she played in Just William, she was very much a stage school kid. She did Doctor Who, was in the original London cast of Cats and has worked constantly throughout the years. She was fantastic in Eastenders, showing what an amazing actress she is. She really can do it all. I've booked for 18th Sept, Row G of the stalls. A bargain! I cant wait to see Bonnie in it. Now if they could find a way for her to tap in the finale.... She played Peggy in a UK tour of 42nd Street, oh, about 25 years ago.

This photo must be a production photo, as Christopher and Tom aren't on today. But she took her bow.

She will indeed. She is ridiculously talented, hardworking and the epitome of the professionalism. She's spent more that 50 years in the business and no one has a bad word to say about her. I mean - on Broadway aged 10 - starring alongside Angela Lansbury - she's learned from and worked with the best throughout her career. Come to think of it she'd make one hell of a Rose now.

Well, just back from seeing the show tonight. I hated Lulu as you know. I loved Steph and it was such a great farewell for her on Saturday (She is playing cover for Maggie on 20, 21 and 22nd of September) Tonight was fantastic. The house was fairly full on 3 levels which was nice to see. There appeared to be a very bad sound glitch during the overture and also at various other points in the show. Clare H had no Mic at the start of Lullaby then all of a sudden came on. Matt Goodgame was on for Julian Marsh, Tom Partridge on for Bert Barry and Philip Bertioli was on as Pat Denning and Jasmine Kerr on for Phyllis. The photos mentioned above were production pics taken I believe on Friday. So now to Bonnie. In Brief, I loved her. Her acting was fantastic, her facial expressions were a picture and had me in fits of laughter. She is very suited for the role. She sang the old score ( Not the Lulu Score) and wore the original costumes. Her singing was good, she cracked on the Top A in Shadow Waltz but I am not sure if that was on purpose playing the old has been role etc or she may have just had first night nerves. She will settle in to the role and will be a great Dorothy I am sure. She was a bit overwhelmed at the end but the whole house got up and ovated. Her voice is not as crystal clear of that of Sheena or Steph but a million times better than Lulu. I for one will be happy with her in the role.

Got my Rush ticket for this afternoon, B11 Stalls! So excited! Sidenote: have any of us worked out if Steph or CJ are staying on as Standby Dorothy/Maggie or are they bringing someone new in? C J is definitely leaving this time and Steph is staying on as cover for Dorothy and Maggie. She is debuting Maggie on 20th, 21st and 22nd Sept.

After dayseating for Kinky Boots I popped in and grabbed myself a day seat for this afternoon. Managed to get front row so very excited about that and glad I’m able to catch Steph before she finishes her run. I was under the impression Steph was leaving completely and they were bringing in a new standby but a couple of friends seem to think she’s staying. Guess we’ll find out soon enough. She is def staying as cover for Dorothy and Maggie

( You will be pleased to know she does not hobble out of the wheelchair on to the couch!!!) Why would that please someone? I absolutely adored that Lulu did that but then as usual I guess different people like different things and I really liked Lulu and wasn't at all fond of Steph.

Well - that’s what makes the world go around Dippy - Different opinions. For me that moment was cringeworthy. Glad you liked her, I did not and was glad to see the back of her.

I don't think Lulu deserved the flack she got but I agree, different opinions. My rank of Dorothy's I've seen is:
Steph Parry Sheena Easton Lulu CJ Johnson

I ended up getting a front row rush ticket yesterday, so also ended up rearranging all of my plans so I could be in London. Worth it to get a good seat this early in Bonnie's run. Thankfully, no technical problems and Clare was back to being perfect. Same cast as Monday in stageyqueen's report: Matt Goodgame was on for Julian Marsh, Tom Partridge on for Bert Barry and Philip Bertioli was on as Pat Denning and Jasmine Kerr on for Phyllis. I've seen all of them before in those roles, apart from Tom Partridge. His take on Bert was much younger (no grey hair) and he generally played as straight man foil for Maggie. He probably needs a few more days to get comfortable. Jasna Ivir was as the stage door as I walked past, a few minutes before the start of the show. Full costume and make up, having a quick smoke. Audience was fairly full and generally well-behaved. There was a German family behind me who talked through the overture, but thankfully stopped when the show started. Somewhere near, a man was explaining to (what I took what his elderly) mother that she did know who Bonnie Langford was. I think it was the same woman who loudly said, "look it's Bonnie" when she came on stage and proceeded to try and sing several songs. So the usual annoyances with that. Anyway, on to Bonnie. Marvelous. She got entrance applause and, of course, a standing ovation at the end. Already with lots of neat touches to show what a command of the stage she has and you could tell she was having to hold back to look a much worse dancer than she really is. Nailed Boulevard. And also synchronised perfectly with Clare during Quarter To Nine. A couple of line flubs, but covered well. One line where she came in too early, but again most people wouldn't have noticed. Has the potential to be the best Dorothy Brock yet. The show is in safe hands.

What is the legroom like in AA stalls in the centre section? (I’m 6’3 so it needs to be more than average)
Thank you!

I know its not exactly what you are asking but I have sat in A21 and both the view and legroom were spectacular (6'6") - I know that lots on here have sat in the AA section so will be able to give you an answer about that but if it doesn't sound ideal then I would highly recommend this and A22. Have booked these seats again for closing night.

It is, but you miss nothing at all apart from seeing in a couple of the dressing rooms in the opening to act 2. Not quite as good as being central I’m sure but I had room to stretch which was a real treat - the seats are at an angle so it doesn’t feel as much to the side as you might think and because of the angle you capitalise on legroom. I haven’t sat in AA though so can’t compare.
