I can't imagine many theatre owners wanting it TBH. The Playhouse is unavailable as is the Vaudeville.

I could only see it going into another Nimax house. Jamie has the Apollo long term, as does HP with the Palace, and I’m unsure of the others. I hope it doesn’t get another life.

Mischief are occupying 2 of them with The Play That Goes Wrong at the Duchess & Magic Goes Wrong at the Vaudeville. Also the Duchess at least is surely too small for Thriller. The Garrick looks to be booked until well into 2021 with City of Angels followed by The Drifters Girl. Personally the only thing I'm worried about is what'll happen to the monthly Showstopper performances after April!

Duchess is possible, but The Play That Goes Wrong is not going anywhere, anytime soon. The Lyric is in desperate need of restoration, it was in a dreadful state, when I was there a couple nights back.

Read back this thread and see it was announced a while back that Thriller was closing and all the hyperbole over Thriller, I seemed to missed all that and just points out the problems when the moderators merge threads, as I just skip the conventional Thriller thread, as it is no interest, however a Thriller closing thread is, would draw my attention.
I have more issues with the person represented than the show, than the show, sure Thriller isn’t great but has some breathtaking. choreography and employs a large non white cast, it is perfect for non English speaking tourists as there is no dialogue and the music is universal. Not the worst show the West End has seen, but definitely has overstayed it’s welcome.

I take it we're all booked in for the singalong performance on 22 January?

The public has short term memory issues. Give it 3 months and most people will have dismissed this story from their memory and just remember the lovely songs and dances. Any they have!
Especially since the accusations were swiftly silenced and for whatever reasons, didn't gain any real traction.......

Which, whatever you may think of the show, is another horrible end for a cast and crew that doesn't deserve things to finish that way. Agreed!

Horrible to not get a closing night. As much as it may not be our cup of tea there is a place for shows like this.

I am fascinated to see from the replies to the closing notice tweet that Thriller does actually have some fans & repeat viewers. I cannot recall seeing a single positive post about it on this board or the WOS predecessor & had assumed that audiences were entirely made up of tourists & very irregular theatregoers.

I guess it shows how much it’s detractors have underestimated the show’s staying power. Even though I feel it overstayed it’s welcome, it definitely had a dedicated fanbase who loved it. Even shows like Viva Forever had some fans. Whilst I’m personally not sad that it’s now closed, it didn’t deserve to end its run like this. It deserved a closing night to celebrate it’s successful run.

. It deserved a closing night to celebrate it’s successful run. I dare say they could easily do a concert style version and invite anyone and everyone from its past cast for one last hurrah.
