Tonight's performance has shifted a fair amount of tickets but tomorrow night, its kinda shocking actually, that the Grand and Dress are pretty much all available! I am surprised too by the amount of tickets that are still available I wouldn't say I'm surprised, as I expected it once the casting was announced, but at the same time, I assumed people would book before the casting, but evidently not!

Oh my goodness, I have just checked the ATG site for Wimbledon for this and apart from the front stalls the theatre is practically empty for every performance!

I am fascinated by this production of Ghost, purely on the basis of whether the casting works....so I'll be keeping an eye on here for feedback. Having missed the original London production, and seen a bit of the show (well the start of the show as it was put up on youtube last week when Siobhan Dillon was starring), I feel like this could be up my street, depending of course whether the effects are as good as the originals. Fingers crossed for this one, I would hope they pull it off, but has Kenwright ever done a show that is so focused on illusionary effects before? That's my one of my main worries.

I saw the full version of the show be put up on YouTube last week and almost instantly saved it so it is now on my tablet haha.

We have our first image of the curtain... first thought, I miss the original. It looks a bit too fantasy, even for a show about a ghost, but beautiful colours! I don't know if I like the lyrics on the curtain either, I wonder if it is a projection that moves? Maybe the lyrics change or the colours move or something?
Also appears that there is white panelling on the stage floor?

Interval and the one word I have right now is horrific. I have never walked out of a show at interval but seriously contemplating it right now, although will probably stay to witness the car crash that is going to continue to happen!

Is it the casting or the production that is the issue?

Mainly casting. Although production values definitely lower than last tour. Main issue - Sarah Harding cannot sing, act or do an American accent.

Am I assuming correctly that Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Dearie me. Oh dear. Dear dear dear.... Oh dear. Oh. Dear. is an appropriate summary?

They have had to change the melody as she can't sing the high notes and when she was singing in her vocal range it wasn't in tune. Bill Kenright is in the audience - how he thinks that this is good is beyond me!!

How are the audience responding to it generally?

It will be really interesting to hear the answer to the last question although perhaps a disproportionate number of Sarah Harding fans might be there for opening night. You have to wonder what the rest of the cast think about it all too. I feel sorry for Sarah really, she should never have been put in this position.

This is amazing!!!! (The comments - not the show, obviously).
I obviously never, ever wish a production to do badly or fail, but when you cast people who are simply and quite plainly not up to the job, don't you feel a bit of....schadenfreude? That the show deserves it somehow? Poor Sarah.
I hope producers come to their senses and give the girls covering Molly their massive breaks! How is the rest of the cast? Andy as Sam etc...?

I don't blame Sarah at all, I blame the producers and the people in charge of casting for, like Steve said, putting her in this position.

No she shouldn't, but at what point do we accept out limitations and say "no, I'm not capable of doing this justice"?

Maybe she was OK in rehearsals and it's gone to pieces?
