Is there any excitement at all about this? I hafe heard zero buzz since the tv show ended and even then, the hype over the actual musical wasn't much. How is it selling? It goes on pre sale tomorrow at noon.

I'll watch any old crap but I'll be giving this one a huge swerve.

They'll be avoiding London-ish tour venues whilst they decide if it's got a potential West End life. If they decide not, I wouldn't be surprised to see Wimbledon/Bromley etc appear at the end of the tour if more dates are added.

I'm sorry Robbie Williams fans but that is a face I'd never tire of slapping.

I understand really close ones but no MK, Aylesbury, High Wycombe etc. I think the closest is Northampton. He must be pretty confident it will be good enough for a WE transfer.

Tuesday 26th September showing as "sold out" which looks like the opening press night. Weekends looking "limited" for some dates and Take That fans having their usual competitions on forums "how many dates are you doing?!"
Maybe it won't do so bad after all.

Will it be a case, as it is when bands such as take that tour, of them going 'oooo look we sold out on the first day!' Only for a couple of weeks down the line suddenly finding a load of tickets down the back of the sofa and putting them on sale???

It's "sold out" only because the tickets were never on sale in the first place.

It appears to have done very well indeed, given that today was ATG Presale only.
I think though it's the sort of show that will sell a shedload of tickets regardless of the quality of the piece.
Still, intrigued to see it at some point.

Opening night has a handful of singles in the rear stalls, a couple of singles in the circle but the gallery is only about a third sold.

Oh god you are mostly all doing it again, slagging off something that you have no comprehension about. What do you all actually like about theatre?

I imagine they are slightly hesitant in bringing it to London considering Never Forget (the first Take That musical) only ran 6 months at the Savoy and didn't make its money back. I saw it there. I still have nightmares over the drunken women in the audience directly behind me, whooping and yelling (and booing) throughout the show.

Urgh this is just so depressing. Especially when you consider some great shows tour and don't sell.

It might yet be a great show!! *If* it is good and it's getting people to the theatre, then good stuff. But at the moment, I presume there's no prizes for guessing who most of that £2 million may be attributed to. (And no, not an offshore account in the name of G. Barlow!)

I didn't mean that to say it is a bad show, but shows that have been around for years and are hits of their time and great pieces of theatre tour and get crap business, whilst this was helped along by a TV show (which was basically a giant advert for it - smart) and a band who has one of the most annoying men of 2016 in it (that be Gary - I think the cast aren't as good as me and can't sell the show without me - Barlow) haha.

Amazing what an 8 week advert on the BBC can do.

A friend has just posted "tickets purchased at Birmingham, so much easier than trying to obtain tickets for the Cursed Child!"
What isn't?!

Amazing what an 8 week advert on the BBC can do. Sorry If this looks like I'm bias (which I am anyway). You will find that most of the people that bought the initial ticket are the Take That fans. I think they will buy it with or without Let It Shine. You know how crazy Take That fans are right? This is not like 'Never Forget' that didn't get a support for the band. This one got a whole lots of promos from Take That themselves. Sometimes, I even think they promote the musical more than the new album. I don't know how well it will translate to a general audience but by the sound of it, they are smart to play with their core fan base. A lot of their fans will eat it up as the story line is about them. Nobody know how good the show will be until the opening night.

The "band" have been saying they're rehearsing but this show doesn't start until September! Seems very early... However maybe not as Take That start their UK tour next month and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they were involved!

My fear is the audience will be hideous like Dreamgirls whooping and screaming! Possible. My fear is it would be like a Take That tribute band show. Pray it'd not.
