And my nearest showing's in Barry Island. Great... I'm hoping that the website isn't an exhaustive list as there isn't any for London. It is listed on Vue website Leicester Square but without times so fingers crossed more get added.

Will it be filmed and streamed live from the theatre? No its already been recorded as the last performance was on Saturday plus it's got Robert Fairchild starring which means it was filmed several months ago before he returned to the states.

On sale at Vue already, just booked my tickets for Leicester Square. Seemed appropriate to watch it in the West End!

I'm so confused, because I know the show has cleared out of the theatre now, and Ashley is in New York based on social media, but Zoe Rainey has put on her instagram story video of her today in the Milo wig and green dress so clearly she is doing something for the show, possibly the trailer or some promo for it? Also on the topic of Ashley, was he in the Ensemble when Robert was lead? As I know Max Westwell Ashley's alternate) was in the Ensemble when Ashley was lead, and it would be a shame for Ashley to not be involved in the cinema release considering he had a big part in the shows run.

Ashley wasn't in the ensemble, he was an off stage alternate/stand by. Such a shame he won't be on the recording.

Especially as, arguably, out of the entire cast, he is the one who had the most to do throughout the entire run and he won't be recognised for that. I hope at least, in the credits, they mention him.

This isn’t really the type of musical I’d normally go to and there wasn’t as much singing as I’d expected but I still enjoyed it a lot, I mean how can you not appreciate the dancing from the company members and the leads, it was beautiful to watch, and I imagine even better live. I liked that it was quite a “chill” musical, nice little story but not one you had to concentrate too hard to follow and some fabulous music. The leads were all brilliant I thought, it’s amazing that Robert and Leanne can dance like they can plus act and sing, Zoë Rainey was fabulous I thought, can’t imagine her in as dreary a role as Nessarose in Wicked! Jane Asher’s accent had to be the worst French accent I have ever heard but she gave a good performance I guess 😂 all in all a nice relaxing night at the cinema which is what I needed last night!

I went last night to see this as well and thought it was wonderful. All the performers were fantastic and it made me leave wanting to tap and ballet dance my way to the car. I recall watching the film a number of years back but couldn't remember much about it other than I wasn't actually that keen on it so was blown away by how much I enjoyed it yesterday. They are having further showing at a few cinemas this Sunday for anyone that couldn't make it, I think I might see if it's near me again to rewatch it. I do hope they release in DVD at somepoint.

I also saw it last night after seeing it last year at the Dominion. I actually enjoyed the cinema version more as you could see the emotion and facial expressions much better than I could at the back of the balcony (and the eyesight's not what it was either).

One of my local movie theatres is showing this on Thursday and I'm gonna miss it cause it starts at 8:30pm and gotta be at work at 11pm. Bummer!
Didn't see it in London since the show didn't really appeal to me and didn't want to pay for a theatre ticket, but I was ready to give it a chance and pay 10€ for this. Oh well, I hope there is a DVD release.

I went to a screening today and it was really well-filmed, I enjoyed reliving it. Robbie Fairchild is an incredible leading man, and I hope we see him back in London soon. The choreography is just sublime, the second act ballet is even more breathtaking on film.

Does anyone know when this was actually filmed....I assume it was filmed over a couple of performances as some of the cameras were clearly on stage for close-ups, but no sign of cameras in the wide shots. Beautifully shot. What do we reckon to projections. I'm still not sure. It's ironic that on the film they tried to reconstruct all those French paintings in the ballet, but made no real reference in the ballet on stage, when with all those projections they could have imagined them easily enough.

I think the projections worked really well for this specific piece, especailly considering because of the amount of dance, a bare stage was used alot. They certianly enahnced the storytelling in some scenes. But hey, its a Tony and Olivier award winning set, which is nice to see.

Just in from a screening tonight of this - I saw it in the West End post-Fairchild and with Ashley Day's understudy as Jerry.
I gave it 4 stars when I previously saw it, and I vaguely remember that it was because the show felt slightly too small for the Dominion stage. But it 100% didn't feel that today. I enjoyed it even more from the screening - I think it's probably the best musical translation on one of these broadcast things and I really hope we get a DVD.
Robbie Fairchild is probably what pushed it to 5 stars for me - he is utterly sensational. I mean, incredibly easy on the eye, and dances AND sings like a DREAM. Leanne Cope, once again, broke my heart with just how beautiful and delicate she is as a ballet dancer and I just loved her. David and Haydn really set up a wonderful trio with Robbie - I got more out of the three of them all being in love with Lise this time - and Zoe Rainey is bloody great.
Christopher Wheeldon has just made a masterpiece - I fully appreciated how essential on a piece like this having the director and choreographer be the same person is. It really enables the concept he has to work to its fullest potential. Adored the dance even more if possible. And the SET. So worth the Olivier. It was the thing I screamed about before and I did even more so this time.
I was a teary mess at the end - I just had such a nice evening!
