I want/need to see this in July.
Could you please get your crystal balls out? Will tickets be more or less expensive after the reviews?
Anyone seeing/predicting any deals?
If not, where best to to sit without having to take out a second mortgage?

This sounds like the most useless lottery in christendom. "within a two-week period"? What if you're only in London for 2-3 days and you get drawn for a day you're not in town? And this: "Remember, you can also increase your chances of winning by sharing your entry on social media channels." I hate this kind of forcing people into advertising, it reeks a bit of that "verified fan" nonsense that's increasingly popular in the USA. If I like a show, I will be happy to talk about it across my social media channels without any prodding, simply because I want to share how good it is and how people should go and see it. But I'm not letting myself get bullied into sharing something if I don't even know yet if it's good. TodayTix does this but I always switch my facebook post settings so that the post is only visible to me! I assume it still increases my chances of winning....

a) The "Let's Stay Together" number, as you've said, is about Tina/Raymond romance. Was there some type of rivality between Ike and Raymond? Ike is angry when he finds out about them, and gets rid of Raymond. His discovery of their relationship sets the scene for him to propose to Tina, and for Tina to choose him over Raymond. Of course, Tina's first child is Raymond's, and Ike must live with that. Ike himself is depicted as an open-marriage type of guy, sleeping with multiple women regularly. b) One of my favorite Tina's songs is "Be Tender With Me Baby". I'm beyond delighted that they included it on the musical. What is the context of the song in the musical? When I saw your first review, I envisioned Ike's character singing it for Tina, as a cry for help after his explosive outbursts. It's too long ago for me to be clear on that. I recall it being the other way around, that Tina demands tenderness. I am seeing the show for the second time in May, so I can get back to you on that. c) Last, but not least, I'm still intrigued about Erwin Bach's character in the musical. Does he sing anything? Is "Tonight" a love theme for Erwin and Tina? It seems that Erwin doesn't appear much in the act 2. Irwin only appears in the second half. He is part of Tina's redemption story, but Tina is not saved by any man, but herself, so his role is a supporting one. I'll pay attention to him in May and let you know more about him. I wonder if Roger Davies appears too... he's a pivotal character in her life and career. If it wasn't for Roger, she wouldn't have that big comeback. Roger is played by Ryan O'Donnell, and is indeed depicted as the key person involved in Tina's new music in the second half. When he gets too controlling, she tells him, and unlike Ike, he takes the hint. A lot of people around me thought this was going to be a tribute show and that they'd boogie from the minute the curtain went up. It's pretty serious as far as jukebox musicals go As for Adrienne Warren: simply the best. Ali973, yes, some people around me thought they'd be up and dancing in a heartbeat, and one even tried to sing along at some really dramatically inappropriate moments lol. She wised up, though, and got her audience participation in at the end. I think the reviews will set people straight on what to expect. And yes, Adrienne Warren was sensational! Given that you are such a connoisseur of musicals, I wonder if you could tell us what jukebox musicals you'd rate higher than this? For me, my favourite jukebox musicals are "Jersey Boys," for it's Rashomon like dramatic structure, "Mamma Mia" for successfully recontextualising and dramatising the songs, and telling an original story, despite being lightweight, "Rock of Ages" for it's comedy, and "We Will Rock You" for being the wackiest, most camp and culty and generally crazy jukebox experience. For me, I prefer this to all those shows because I felt the music itself was elevated by the show into being something more than what I had thought it was, whereas all those other shows do not succeed in elevating the music (in fact "We Will Rock You" and "Rock of Ages" actively trivialise the music lol). Who’s Jenny? Is that Tina? Jenny Fitzpatrick played Tina Turner previously, in the Soul Sister tour, after the Savoy run, including at my local, the New Wimbledon Theatre. I only saw the Savoy show, so I missed her. The Savoy Show was a straightforward Bill Kenwright production, with jukebox performances, set apart from the drama for the most part, and screens describing Tina Turner's life. It was fun, but not riveting, like this show.

Sorry but I’d put Jersey Boys down as one it the very worse Juke Box musicals I’ve ever seen. I hated it. If Tina is anything like that then I’ll be selling my ticket.

Did anyone see Soul Sister? Was at the Savoy years back? I saw it on the UK Tour - really enjoyed it. Incidentally Jenny Fitzpatrick was the alternate Tina for that show too!! She has pedigree!

Just a note on row Z. Seems they've upped the price on these to £39.50
When I walked past when I went it seems these are now proper seats with armrests etc. It's probably not a bad option for this show as nothing takes place up a height.

It just occurred to me to mention that this is probably THE most cramped and tight theatre I've sat it, and I am by no means big or tall. I cannot imagine how uncomfortable it is for people who are bigger and taller.

I cannot imagine how uncomfortable it is for people who are bigger and taller. I remember the seat I had for Whistle Down The Wind about two thirds of the way back in the stalls with horror - no room whatsoever, although on a return visit we were further forward and it wasn’t as bad. Sat in the circle yesterday which was much better.

Saw on Facebook yesterday a photo of a big new ‘Tina’ sign being installed on the front of the theatre, looked a bit like a huge signature. I won’t repost their photo here, but it looks pretty good!

Can't see if this has been mentioned before, but there's an interesting flaw in the booking system for this show (and Nederlander Theatres). It shows dates as "sold out" on the first calendar. However, if you pick a date that has seats available, you can then use the "Change Date" facility top right of the page to click any date at all. I've found that dates "sold out" on the front page, do in fact have seats available. May help someone. You can also just click on the "sold out" month and it will still let you in and show you dates with availability - I did that for this month yesterday!

Anyone know how long Adrienne takes to come out of stage door? Possibly however long it takes her to take her microphone etc. off, get changed, chat to anyone she needs/wants to speak to, deal with any guests she has in and sign out? It's hardly going to be the same every night...

Does she do a poo after the show, because we should really keep an eye on what she buys at Pret, and whether that would have any impact on her leaving the building.
Perhaps we could organise a roster of board members who could follow her when she buys dinner, and checks it's nothing that might cause a prolonged poo?
