Ahhh she is fabulous, will definitely be booking this!
That explains why she left Hamilton rather than taking over from Rachel John or Christine Allado full time then!

This has all the makings of a hit. An unbelievable creative group and an amazing star.
Feel free to quote me when this closes after 19 performances...

I'm pleased for her, I really am. But damn, that's a huge theatre to fill. I have high hopes that this will do well.

The poster makes me worried. Another show cashing in on Hamilton/Six?

And I love her hair...so unique and interesting. Her look is very Brooklyn downtown...she is a real talent and I hope this is a hit for her.

And it's been a while since the Shaftesbury had a huge flop. Hurrah! best book for an early preview...

I love Miriam, I thought she was a stunning Angelica and she’s a great performer. Max Martin has written some fantastic songs, so I have no doubt the music will be exceptional.
And yet, I think a brand new musical in the Shaftesbury of all places? A new musical like this would struggle to sell out the Southwark Playhouse. I hope they have some seriously good marketing and a huge bag of tricks.
I smell a huge flop... I hope I’m wrong.

Sadly I can’t see this working. The name isn’t catchy at all, and not enough of a name to get the punters in, in my opinion. I said closed by April.

I hope it succeeds too.. but I fear it won’t.
What’s happening with the rebuilding work at the Shaftesbury? When will that happen?

My hope is this follows the Six kind of route, where you gain a fan base over a period of time then head into the West End. Which it has potential to do on its Manchester run.
The other issue is, no one knows Max's name, despite the fact he has such a huge amount of hits behind him.

Colour me intrigued. There can't be much Britney in it though, as Jerry Mitchell's already workshopping a britney musical right? Cant wait to see a song list!

Well this came out of nowhere! Has anyone seen or heard of workshops for this show? The website isn’t working for me but I assume it’s a spin on Romeo and Juliet?
Whatever it turns out to be, Miriam in the lead and Luke Sheppard directing is enough to get me interested. I’d never heard of Max Martin before but looking at his catalogue of hits I don’t doubt that he has the ear for a good tune! (Although of course we all know that the ability to produce hit pop songs does not equate to the ability to write a musical, but I’m inclined to be optimistic for once!)

(Katy Perry featuring Kanye West) 2011 – "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)" (Katy Perry) 2012 – "Part of Me" (Katy Perry) 2012 – "One More Night" (Maroon 5) 2012 – "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" (Taylor Swift) 2013 – "Roar" (Katy Perry) 2014 – "Dark Horse" (Katy Perry featuring Juicy J) 2014 – "Shake It Off" (Taylor Swift) 2014 – "Blank Space" (Taylor Swift) 2015 – "Bad Blood" (Taylor Swift featuring Kendrick Lamar) 2015 – "Can't Feel My Face" (The Weeknd) 2016 – "Can't Stop the Feeling!"
