Violet didn't win any Tony's, i recall?
I find it so interesting at the moment because starting with Fun Home we've now been getting transfers of quite a few Broadway shows but really none of them, i personally at least, expected to come over, or at least not as soon in Come From Away's case. Some quite random ones.
Meanwhile we are still waiting for announcements from the shows that everyone (well not everyone) seems to be going wild about coming over like Waitress, Dear Evan Hansen and so on.

Yeah Violet got plenty of nominations but no wins, so it’s not that. Gentleman’s Guide would fit in nicely, it could be done in quite a compact way. I really enjoyed it on Broadway, surprised it hasn’t come over yet as the piece is British to its core.

And if course we know what's going into The Pheonix, so that starts all this newness off. Definitely a different landscape next year.

It isn't. Or at least, there haven't been any reports of DEH transferring yet.

Nothing is happening until it's formally announced, and things can change at any point up to that moment. But at this moment in time, they've got a venue pencilled and it isn't the DoY. What venue then?

Gielgud maybe? Unless Les Mis has to move there temporarily.

Gielgud maybe? Unless Les Mis has to move there temporarily. The Gielgud would make sense for Les Mis as it’s the most similar in terms of capacity and size to the Queens

Dear Evan Hansen is issued a statement of intent it is coming over, which really is meaningless, as factors change. But saying that I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes into the Queens.
On a different note I saw The Price this afternoon in Bath, with a superb David Suchet at the top of his game, so wonder if this will transfer into one of the smaller circuit theatres? Or maybe has the announcement of All My Sons this week, put it on ice? By which I mean is there room for 2 Arthur Miller plays in the West End?

Why is no one talking about The Savoy for DEH?

Why is no one talking about The Savoy for DEH? Because Cameron is bringing it over so it will go into one of his venues. Also, the Savoy is too big for it.

Is it? I saw it on Broadway and in fact the Savoy looks much smaller. But good point on a CM theatre.

The Savoy has 150-200 more seats than the theatre it's in on Broadway.

I think everyone is adamant Mean Girls is going into the Savoy next too.

I was wondering would Disney consider moving the Lion King to the queens and put Frozen in the Lyceum instead and Moulin Rouge could go into the Drury lane

I was wondering would Disney consider moving the Lion King to the queens and put Frozen in the Lyceum instead and Moulin Rouge could go into the Drury lane Given that The Lion King is still selling well at the Lyceum, the likelyhood of them downsizing is zilch.
