I missed the 25th tour so I’ll be glad to finally see a new production of Les Mis - as much as I like the West End productions id like to see it reimagined

Thrilled about this - the 25th UK tour was brilliant! For me that and the London version sit so well together, each having their merits. Will deffo do Manchester and hopefully Bristol and Birmingham if it goes there. Why do they have to market it as the Broadway version though, does that sell more tickets? It's very much originally the UK 25th anniversary tour version! Bristol is Easter 2020. Birmingham Hipp and Cardiff WMC are both on the list, not sure on dates though I'm afraid!

My partner and I were just talking about this show at the weekend and both said we'd like to see it again if it toured. I saw it in the West End some 17 ish years ago and she saw it at Bristol on a previous tour around the same sort of time (but she's rubbish with dates!). I'll watch developments with interest.

Where is the list of venues please. I've seen the press release which gives the first 4 but other venues have been mentioned in this thread.

Another outing @ the Barbican will bring it home.

Another outing @ the Barbican will bring it home. But it’s already been home on the last tour... (One of the best posters ever...!)

Is anyone tracking Carrie Hope Fletchers twitter? You wouldn’t have thought she’d go back to something given her career trajectory at the moment but then.......’War of the Worlds’ .

I wonder if any of the current West End cast will join the tour?

I'd love to get to see Madalena return to Fantine once she leaves Evita again.

I wonder if any of the current West End cast will join the tour? Given Cameron Mackintosh's Les Mis casting tendencies, I think it's fairly likely that the cast will feature some past and present alumni. Valjean, Javert, and Cosette in the 2010 tour had all played their roles in London (and Enjolras an ex-Marius). I'd be surprised if Valjean and Javert were new actors to the role.

Give Adam Bayjou the job. He's one of the most praised understudies on the West End right now and it would finally give him the chance to be lead Jean Valjean which after seeing him twice he could totally pull off.

Is anyone tracking Carrie Hope Fletchers twitter? Oh my God, don't. Hoping the tour will be about the piece and we'll remain free of her Twitter circus and mad fan girls. (Though in fairness to Carrie, her performance as Eponine I thought was excellent).

Was very much in the minority but I loved Rosalind James's combining of MT style singing with the infamous riffing in the last tour!
JOJ and Earl Carpenter were also great, though surely will be someone else's turn to have a go now....

And after that WoS gong for Wednesday Addams 😖 she may want to get back out there. She’s going to be blogging about everything you need to know about touring as an actress, apparently.

Last tour was 8 years ago. I’m not sure I’d say that was milking it. There’ll be a big demand for this since the film, I’m really pleased at the news as I won’t need to get another fix in London this year now. And I think this production has many merits over the original. I’m not saying it’s better, but some aspects are. Definitely. I don't think we all want to be stuck in the 80's x

Celebrity comes from all sorts of platforms these days and straddling three different ‘income streams’ is a surefire way of increasing that celebrity. I don’t think she’ll be going away any time soon.

Actually, come to think of it she also has an online store and likely sponsorship deals. AND an album coming out? Gosh many income streams.

She’s very good at tapping into and manipulating the needy teenage girl market and making out she’s so opinionated and relevant i’ll give her that. She isn’t a celebrity though as most people outside of the theatre world won’t have a clue who she is. I thought she was just ok as Eponine but she overacted and her voice was strong but a bit too shouty for me.

Unfortunately we live in an age when someone's main claim to fame is vlogging, posting on youtube and Instagram can deem them a "star" - good lord.

Does anyone know when tickets go on sale? It cracks me up when they make announcements but don't actually tell you when you can book. Unless I've missed something.....

I don't think you've missed anything, if you have then I have too! It's not even showing on Curve's website yet, let alone being able to book
