Hi,
I am going to see the lion king in London in a few days and I am worried about the seat sizes there. As a larger lady I often find that theatre seats are a bit of a squish and I feel very self conscious about who is sitting next to me.
I have been to see wicked and Matilda and found those seats small but ok. However recently after going to the new theatre in Oxford the seats there were so small and leg room so limited.
What are the seats like at the lyceum theatre?
Thanks in advance

When I booked for Joseph an aisle seat came up as wider than normal seat. Now I'm big but I can fit into a normal seat. But as it was the same price I thought I'd give it a go and will report back. Just hope there isn't a big label on it saying "fat persons seat'

The New Theatre in Oxford is always uncomfortable. I have reviewed a couple of marathon Wagner operas there - and was in agony. It is one of the least comfortable theatres out there - I share your pain there.

Think the worst one I recently sat in was St Martins Theatre for The Mousetrap. Now that is an old school Theatre that actually punishes you for buying a cheap ticket. Luckily I got an end of aisle seat, so I was able to swing my legs out but at 6.1 it was still painful. I think if I was not end of aisle I'd have not made it through the frist half.

I always go for an aisle seat, probably the best option.

I’ve started going for boxes as they have actual chairs in rather than being ‘hemmed in on 3 sides’. You can move it how you want it. My wife has a blue badge after having knee replacements (50 years of dancing too hard!) which sometimes gets you good seats too.
