LOL - Carl Woodward declares it's February (clearly just repeating what the official Twitter said) then 10 minutes later the official Twitter pushes it back to "Winter."
Agree - it's the Waitress marking department....
As for the theatre - if it's still a year and a half away - probably they don't have one!

ATG are bringing it to the UK - I think it will be the Piccadilly. Death of a Salesman ends in January 2020. The Adelphi is LW Theatres. Are Nederlander not also involved in Pretty Woman though? They own the Adelphi 50/50 with LWT. It says it's being produced by ATG here, rather than Nederlander - Stage Entertainment are producing it in Germany at their theatre. I can't imagine ATG would get it into anything other than one of their theatres.

Nearly all West End marketing is by Dewynters, anyway - so it's entirely likely!

Already pushed back... Not surprised at all that this is coming over; this will easily run some cash over. Ofocurse I'd rather it stay where it is. Judging by Winter 2020 do we think ATG will chuck it into the Savoy? The Savoy loves being clogged up with a movie musical; Legally Blonde, 9to5. They've got Sunday in the Park with George going in there in May 2020, so it's not going to be that.

Nearly all West End marketing is by Dewynters, More AKA these days for newer shows. I'd presume, until the London site and social channels are set up, that all the Pretty Woman stuff is still being managed by Spotco over in NYC. However, they're a sister company to Dewynters so no doubt Dewynters will look after it when the UK channels are created.

I haven't seen AKA take that much to be honest - they've got a lot of ATG, since ATG invested in them, and I know they've done 9 To 5, Come From Away, Tina, Sweat and Company, but that pales compared to the big hitters Dewynters have just got - Prince of Egypt, Dear Evan Hansen, Back to the Future, Big, Hairspray - London (not the tour, which AKA have), & Juliet, the Light in the Piazza and White Christmas 2019. They've also got Waitress, Wicked, Mamma Mia, the Lion King, Jamie, the Book of Mormon, the Regent's Park Open Theatre campaigns, and just had Emilia. It'll be interesting to see if AKA do have Pretty Woman!

There's always a flurry of closings post-Tonys. It might be a slightly larger number this year but looking at the shows involved, and considering the reviews and the grosses (and the awards), the only surprise is that they're all going so close together than that they're going at all.

Indeedio, this always happens in the wake of the Tonys. There are a bunch shows waiting to come in.
