Painless booking today. Went on at 10 and the later dates were showing so I have booked a concert ticket to replace my august staged date (which is now in December!) Had another look and the earlier dates were back on. The seating plan is different and the cheap seats are in better positions (from the rush of rejigging when the rules changed and kept for the rescheduled but not extra dates I think) so I’ve now booked to replace my June one which is in October (hope you’re keeping up).

I just booked the two bargain (£65) "behind the conductor" front row seats for a May midweek performance. Had the same two for a cancelled performance so very happy I got a free DMT+ membership last year.
The booking site is very well designed, can switch instantly day to day and see what's available and at what price. The whole run is set up for social distancing so very few single seats and the early weekend performances are already getting full

Does anyone know how priority booking works? I signed up on their website, but haven't received anything yet and the booking opens in an hour.

Wow that was so easy! Email came through a few minutes after 10 but once I clicked the link I was basically straight onto the booking page. Got one of the £50 seats at the back of the stalls for the second Saturday matinee. Either the lack of Ball and Boe has brought demand right down or lots of people are hesitant to book after what happened in December I guess.

I'm so excited! Hopefully, lack of big names will result in better-behaved audience.

Also managed to get this easily sorted. Though as a single theatre goer missed out on the first night!
In fact for the July onwards dates they seem to have reduced the single seats even further. In the stalls for example there is just one at the end of row F!

Reckon the seat should get a little plaque as the spot where us singletons return to our beloved musical theatre haha. (Interesting the layout changes from July - I assume it enables them to open up to full houses if the laws allow.....)

How is the pricing compared to when it was the “all star” version? Any difference?

How is the pricing compared to when it was the “all star” version? Any difference? On a par, I'd say (for the concert). Regular pricing for the actual show from Sept, though still more than it used to be.

Don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere but casting for the new dates has been announced on Delfont Mackintosh's website;
"The Staged Concert cast is drawn from the West End and National Tour Companies and will be headed by Jon Robyns as Jean Valjean, Bradley Jaden as Javert, Lucie Jones as Fantine, Shan Ako as Eponine, Harry Apps as Marius, Gerard Carey as Thénardier and Josefina Gabrielle as Madame Thénardier. Further casting will be announced shortly.
During the run other celebrated Jean Valjeans will be playing guest performances alongside Jon Robyns. (Details to be announced)."

Full cast is up on the website now. I know we knew most of the principals but I think Jamie Muscato as Enjolras is new info. www.lesmis.com/concert/cast-creativesAlso Dean Chisnall is listed as Valjean as well as Jon Robyns, so I don’t know if when they said “various celebrated Valjeans” would do some shows they meant just him!

Grainne Renihan My first Fantine, I think, back in the day when Annalene Beechey was Cosette.

It's nice to see a reasonable number of actors who aren't straight out of drama school. However I looked at Earl Carpenter & Nic Greenshields in the ensemble while Bradley Jaden is Javert & though hmmmm.....

Jon Robyns against Earl Carpenter in the Confrontation? That would be perfect.
If I knew when Earl was on in Bradley's place I'd book in an instant.

Jumping on the bandwagon to say if anyone finds out any upcoming Earl Javert dates I'd love to know too... I hope they have a schedule. Not sure I’d be able to book another trip but he was great when I saw him covering in the original run of these concerts I wish they had a schedule. I don’t think they will alternate Javerts like they do Valjeans... any chance of Earl coming on and knowing the date in advance is if Bradley has a prior commitment and makes it known... Don’t think the booking site will list out when specifically the principals are off (it never used to, until Ball & Boe), but hope I’m proven wrong. I saw Earl in the Gielgud run too, with JOJ. Was a dream. Just really hope he gets to perform with Jon and Dean, with an audience to witness it!

Earl is on both Instagram and Twitter, you could message him and ask about performances, he might reply and tell you!

That was always going to be tricky when they don’t really want last minute availability! I do hope to see some covers over my 4 visits though

I'm still a little confused, so apologies for this, but the full show opens in September right? Then this concert show will close?
