I do actually have a law degree, it's what made that part of your post stand out to me in the first place.

All I did was explain how I read your post - sometimes posts do come across in a different manner to how they were intended, which is why I queried how you thought I'd taken you out of context, that's all. It doesn't have to be a fight, but if you want people to get what you actually mean then you have to be willing to explain if what you're trying to say hasn't come across to others as you might have intended. Nothing more confrontational than that, just trying to debate.

I don't see them as petty arguments. I think they are important topics that need to be discussed. Unfortunately, other people seem to be the ones picking arguments with me for my opinion because it's different from the masses. It feels like the school playground. I have learned that some people arent willing to listen and that's ok. I won't converse with them in future.

It is a shame as there are plenty of fans who would love to see a rare JOJ/Carpenter show so you would think the theatre could come up with a way of passing tickets on.

My question is...how is this fraud or deceit? The actors are scheduled to be in the show. You are not being swindled out of your money by having them claim the actors are scheduled to be in when they aren’t. They are in the show as people have seen them. It’s not a figment of ones imagination that they are in the show. They ARE poorly.

When I saw Joseph years ago, Lee was out and Lewis Bradley was on, who was also on the tv program. They were allowing exchanges and I would have done but it was my last day before going to the US so I saw it. Was I bitter when the show started? You bet. But did I have a good time in spite of myself? Yes...and that was a production fully sold on the winner of the BBC tele show.

I just don’t understand why some people feel the world owes them something? Going to the theater is a choice.

On Friday the majority seem to have returned their tickets 1 or 2 hours before curtain up, after arriving at the theatre and finding out about the absences. The only way I can think of to make "passing tickets on" possible is the theatre announcing the cast earlier during the day so people put their tickets up for returns earlier, allowing enough time for new people to purchase and travel to the venue? But that would play right into the "going for the stars and not the show" argument... I do wish they'll find a way to do that though- speaking as a JOJ/Earl fan.

I've just had a look and across Southampton's 3 cinemas this is showing on 7 screens. I assume this is similar across the country so I wonder if that is a record for a live event?

Are there different prices for JOJ shows?

Wow, I never knew about this, as I didn't join the initial rush to buy tickets when they were first released- booked all my shows relatively on the fly. As a JOJ fan this is all sorts of outrageous to me, but not an unexpected business move from Cammack's side. The performers are literally £££ signs to him in this production. No wonder those people were so pissed off about Alfie being off.

I don't know as that's strictly true... I went to the Gielgud the day tickets went on sale and the seat I bought was £40 for a JOJ night and £65 for Alfie, I checked with the Box office person cause I was curious as to whether CamMack was being a cash cow or not.

I've booked for Thursday night in what is meant to be John's final scheduled performance. We'll see about that. However, I am envious of those who saw the John/Earl pairing last week.
