If we are going with age being meaningless, Frances Ruffelle or Linzi Hately for Eponine please (or is that pushing it too far? - they do both look incredible for their age....). Haha, yes I was thinking the same. I actually would have preferred it to have been a "best of" concert, with actors from the last 34 years being cast, regardless of age.
I guess that's what the 10th Anniversary Concert was, which was still doable at the time. Except Frances Ruffelle was too heavily pregnant to do it. I also remember hearing they wanted Anthony Warlow for Enjolras, but as both he and Philip Quast were doing The Secret Garden in Australia at the time, only one of them could come over.

Agree that would be great! The 10th had a fantastic cast but such a shame the acoustics in the RAH are so awful and I really think the double CD didn't do it justice at all - I own it but is probably the Les Mis recording that I listen to the least. Hmmm, that makes me think - will they record this concert? That'd be fab, but I'd prefer JOJ to Boe which clearly wouldn't happen. I also wonder what the staging, such that it is, will be like. Vaguely recall reading somewhere that they were gonna go with a similar concept to the O2 staging, with lighting rigs being lowered to represent the barricades. Plus a basic set. We shall see!

Interesting, it's the one I listen to most!

It’s just a concert,so who cares who is cast in any of the roles? All bets are off at a concert.Barrowman could roll up and sing Valjean,Jane McDonald could be Fantine and Amanda Holden could sing Eponine....on second thoughts, maybe not! The point is it is billed as a concert.

Yes, I do really like the 10th Anniversary CD for the cast, but agree the quality isn't as good as the others. It wouldn't surprise me if they do some some sort of recording, given the recent success Michael Ball and Alfie Boe have had as a double act. Plus Michael is already on three cast recordings as Marius, so why not immortalise his Javert?

15 of the departing Queens cast will be in the concert I assume they will announce soon. They have to be starting some sort of rehearsal right maybe Monday when the theatre becomes free prehaps.

Royal Academy of Music grad Lily Kerhoas is Cosette.
Expect it to be confirmed by Baz shortly.

There are some big MT names in there, Simon Bowman, Earl Carpenter, Gemma Wardle and Grainne Renihan, who played Fantine WAY back in the day at the Palace Theatre. I presume Simon is covering JVJ and Earl is covering Javert?

Grainne Renihan is Ciaran Joyce's mother isn't she? So they'll be performing together!
