Oh interesting - sadly Legrand died just the other week. Umbrellas is mu favourite film so will definitely give this a try.

Am I right in saying this only ran on Broadway for a little over a month? It actually only ran officially 17 performances on Broadway, which would only equal around just over two weeks of performances. It did run 31 previews though.  |

It's a lovely show. Very quirky with some beautiful music.
Saw it twice when the Royal Academy students performed it about three years ago.

Oh! I didn't know about this as a musical, but I've seen a film based on the same story which I absolutely loved (but had completely forgotten until I just Googled the show!)
This sounds really good!

I note from the seating plan that there are two front rows for this show, A and K. Can anybody advise if there is any viewing advantage of one over the other ?

In theory they should be the same if it's staged well in traverse.
Row K (if I've got this right) is the "normal" stalls side, and row A is the bank of seats where the stage used to be. To get to Row A you have to walk over the stage so Row K has an advantage in that you'll get to the bar/ toilets more quickly!

I'm suddenly interested, with Anna O'Byrne being in it. Booked for the 2nd preview, as £26 seems more reasonable to me than £36 at a fringe venue.

I've seen her in 4 other shows since, including WiW, & she's been excellent in all of them. |

Love this score! Have always wanted to see the show. And the cast that has just been announced is pretty stunning. I have booked to see it twice!

I saw this in New York and it's very ...twee. Its intentions are honorable but it was far too gentle a piece to make it on Bway. Maybe this more intimate setting will be better. And that Gary Turshaw certainly helps - he adds value to anything in which he appears.

Amazing, this is actually one of my favourite musicals - always thought it was a shame that it never succeeded in Broadway. Brilliant to see it in London - sure it'll be a great show

Tonight appears to be going ahead (though I've wimped out of going for various reasons including that I doubt whoever was too ill yesterday to perform will have recovered quickly enough to give an ideal performance 24 hours later).
