On the Instagram story from the Theatre Cafe account Cassidy has done a Q&A saying that she’s signed up to appear in a new London bound musical but is obliged to keep the name a secret. Let the speculation begin!

Having done a bit of stalking, Waitress London follow her on Instagram, and she recently followed David Hunter, Marisha Wallace and Katharine McPhee on Twitter...

Started with You’re So Far Away and It’s Too Late by Carole King...what a voice...sat at a keyboard facing away from camera....just focussing on that fab voice...third song had a laptop backing so that she could face camera and was Here,There Everywhere.Lots of nice banter and humour...says she is very nervous and would rather sing to 1,000 people in a theatre than do a gig like this...next track was Alicia Keys’ If I Ain’t Got You...she is really getting into it...next track is from the Leading Ladies CD and is Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?...we are singing along here in our front-room...go Cassidy!...next track is Waiting For The Love Of My Life from Cassidy’s album...we are watching through the tv and it sounds great...talking about her last gig at Kilworth House and described it as the last gig ‘before eternity’...singing Get Here and I am in tears...wonderful! Some belt!

Next two tracks are her own material...Fairytale and I’m On My Way(think those are the titles?)...her voice is so warm and luxurious...next is You’ve Got A Friend...says she knows how privileged she is to be an entertainer...references worries about whether government are going to step up and pay performers during the shut down...finished with Beautiful...going to sign up to see Vicki Manser and Danielle Steers in next few days...reckon we’ve got to try and support our MT fam if we can during this crisis IF we are able to...🌈👍🎭🎼

It was just the tonic! So stressful at the moment, trying to work, share the house with hubby doing the same, keen an eye on the teenager...etc...but stresses now gone, for tonight at least! Thanks CJ. You’re just wonderful!

Cassidy appears to have announced a tour www.beatthetouts.com/2020/03/31/cassidy-janson-2/Details of the tour are: Cassidy Janson – Olivier Award Nominee 2020, Classical Brit nominated singer, actress and West End star, presents her new live show ‘Ladies of Laurel Canyon’ performing the songs and telling the story of the of the Laurel Canyon music scene that flowered in LA in the late 60s and early 70s that saw artists such as Carole King, Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell, Linda Rondstadt, write…as producer Rick Rubin said…“ a cross-breeding of folk with psychedelic rock, creating some of the greatest music ever made.” Not all the dates appear to be on sale only a few. Still its something to look forward to. |
