This is the guy who a) said Jagged Little Pill was going into the Trafalgar last year and b) is very good friends with Mark Shenton. I'm with Mr B. Also that DEH was going into The Savoy with Tyrone Huntley no? We will see.

I'd actually prefer to see Bernadette, but there is no way she can sell the Dominion for 16 weeks

On the back of the Aspects Of Love programme is an advert for a Bernadette Peters UK Tour in June 2019, I'm not sure how that fits with her opening in Dolly the month after.....

I wonder of tonight Baz will be able to confirm if either are right, or indeed of they are just wishful rumours.

He is wrong- Bette IS doing it here. Like they spend the millions they are to have it open and play to empty houses with Bernadette.

Maybe Bette isn’t willing to commit to the 16 week run so, she will open it and then Bernadette will take over maybe at the 12 week mark and finish the run. Taking the show to London is probably more of a passion project then making money for Bette and Scott Rudin at this point.

Bernadette as Bette's alternate.
It'd be like handbags at dawn.

If it's Bette we will be getting pay day loans. If it's Bernadette we will be getting rush tickets on Today Tix.

Perfect! Love to see both!! How about six weeks each, but then an alternate for the midweek matinees and Monday nights, a musical theatre name from here!

Right! Not confusing at all for ticketbuyers!

Right! Not confusing at all for ticketbuyers! That's their fault if they choose not to read the obvious casting notices on the website. Same as people who don't read holiday dates listed on the website then complain about actors being off when their dates are listed on the website. Plus, until Bernadette took over, she wouldn't be listed on the website until then anyway.

Let’s not get into another tedious alternate/understudy/nqameoverthetitle/overentitled thread. If people can’t be arsed doing their research before booking extortionately priced tickets the fault is entirely theirs. If I was gonna pay £200 for a theatre seat I’d have had a PI take pics of the view!

As harsh as it sounds, they gotta learn somehow, and they should always know that before you buy something you should check the fine print. It always annoys me that people complain when someone's holiday dates are clearly listed on the website and yet they book for a performance and still complain. Like, guys, it says clearly, if you care that much, you'd look!

They do, but there's no need to complicate casting a show when you don't really have to.

I assume the holier than thou people here always read every single bit of fine print in every terms and conditions they ever receive for every aspect of their life.
Considering the inconsistencies with show websites, it's not fair to assume everyone would know to check a website as not all shows list holiday and cast into. Plus many people just book though agents that email them
