A cryptic title, but do you think The Greatest Showman has killed off any future productions of Barnum? That would be a shame. I suspect that Barnum has more facts about him than Showman.

I would hope not
Barnum is by far the better score and a more interesting experience - with some real emotion (in the right hands)
TGS is all surface and no depth.

Two completely different markets also.

There isn't even the danger of people mistakenly booking Barnum expecting to see The Greatest Showman, like many people might book Titanic - the Musical, expecting the movie story of Rose and Jack and Celine's "My heart will go on" because it's basically the same title.
There are also two Phantoms around and while Maury Yeston's isn't half as known/popular/often performed as ALW's, it's still around.
Perhaps Barnum will even benefit from the interest in the story with fans of Showman curious to explore different versions.

A friend was involved in the amateur production of Barnum performed in a big top near Ipswich last summer.
Ticket sales exceeded all expectations. Greatest Showman buzz was definitely a factor and they mentioned that film and Wonder Woman in their marketing
I'd love to see a really lavish production of Barnum go into the Dominion Theatre
