Not that rare as I think it was on in London a few years ago but not often chosen by amateur companies
The Secret Garden is at Theatre Royal Windsor from Monday 18-Saturday 23 November including Thursday and Saturday matinees.
Very unusual to schedule 8 performances of an amateur musical, most run for only 4 or 5, wishing the company a successful week.

Here's a rare one I think which I've just found myself and booked.
The Matchgirls is at the Thameside Theatre Grays Essex from 13 -15 February.
A brave choice but probably a hard sell. I'd never heard of it.

Cry Baby is on at the Curve Leicester Studio from Thursday 26 March - Saturday 28 March at 7pm . No matinees and it's one I really want to see so got a ticket.
I'll need to catch the train back to London at 9.52 pm. which is slightly risky but from viewing on You Tube I think Cry Baby is about 2 hours 20 minutes including an interval.

Ooh that's a good spot... I love the original movie but haven't seen the musical version. This could be my chance!

I'm not sure whether this is an amateur production but the £18 ticket price suggests it probably is. It's certainly a rare one.
"Red. The Red Riding Hood Musical" is at the Brookside Theatre, Romford from Wed 26 - Sat 29 February.
I think it may only have been performed in Ireland.

Is Urinetown rare, or is every other society doing it these days?
Either way, there is an amateur production at Hull Truck the last week of August.
Although this isn't one of their's, you may also wish to keep the Northern Academy of Performing Arts on your radar: northernacademy.org.uk
