Being advertised prominently at Elf The Musical today. scroogearena.comCardiff, Birmingham and Nottingham next December (2019). Scrooge will give away £3000 cash to lucky audience members each performance. If the attendance is anything like it is at Elf (report later), your odds of winning are very good!

Why would they give away £3000 every show? o_0 I suspect they think it would convince people to buy tickets. I think it will be a hard show to sell for an arena tour unless they have some massive unannounced names. It was promoted heavily during Elf today, video promos, posters in the background of scenes, even mentioned in the dialogue.

Looks like it will be priced better than elf. At Birmingham from about £25 to £65 but not on sale until February. Interesting to see who is cast

2019 is turning into a bumper year for dodgy sounding shows. Yes, I know that makes me sound like a snob but I do not care

TWO live horses? Wowsers! Pulling a carriage through the centre aisle of whichever half sold enormo aircraft hangar it’s playing in.

Looks even more naff than Elf, if that were possible.

Well it's a good job they have "live horses". Not sure it would be too appealing to families if it were to start Grand National cast offs.

What on Earth is this rubbish...
Honestly, if the people that made the trailer are involved with the production, don’t take my money.

I sooooooooo need to know where they are getting the £3k from for each performance.
OR -
*puts on deerstalker*
- is it a ruse to call out audiences for being greedy and avaricious like... a certain... titular character??
ETA incredible piece from the Motorpoint Cardiff site:

This feels like some sort of tax write-off from the Pauline Quirke Academy...

Sounds as naff as Elf was last year. Not sure who it is aimed at? Families with young kids will probs skip it in favour of a more light-hearted show.

Aimed at people who’s idea of good food is buying something at Greggs and readers of The Sun? The whole thing is ghastly. I’m off to Waitrose to recover.

I sooooooooo need to know where they are getting the £3k from for each performance. Sponsors, I expect. There were a whole load of them for Elf, with a round of video adverts played repeatedly before the show and during the interval (probably after as well, although I didn't stick around to find out), as well as advertised around the venue.

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to just have Pauline Quirke turn up...? Too big a star! Plus, there will probably be a sponsor message alongside her on the screen. Harder to do that when she's there in person.
