The partners mother has arrived. The ham is baked, the table more or less set, veg prepped. The Christmas pudding is still in Waitrose because they are the work of the devil. I've plucked and stuffed the turkey, all I got to do now is kill it and it's ready for the oven*.
*This is a joke and no animals were used in the preparation of this joke.
I take this opportunity to wish all Theatreboarders a merry Christmas however you choose to spend it.

Last presents wrapped. Washing up from the Big Family Christmas Dinner yesterday (my mother's birthday) all done. Boxing Day ham soaking. Cards delivered. Regular seasonal nervous breakdown averted... so far.
Now browsing Netflix for an appropriate seasonal film. I'm down to a shortlist of three: Dead Man Walking, Gorky Park, or Sing.

Father Christmas has visited, and I know that both of mine will be very happy with what they’ve got- especially Littlest!
I have vodka chilling in the freezer and everything all prepped and ready to go for the big day tomorrow. Happy Christmas to you all! 🎅🏻

Ooh, is Sing on Netflix? That's good to know, I'm about to run out of Christmas specials and could use a movie or two to keep me from just going back to the beginning of Brooklyn 99 again.  |

I very much enjoyed Upstart Crow. Went very well with the truffled Brie and 40 year old port (husband had his 40th last week, we don’t routinely drink things as old as us.)

Been back in work an hour now. All over 'bar the shouting' and the turkey/stuffing wraps for the next few days meals.
