Hi everybody.
I'd like to try and get a box next summer at the London coliseum for the Gloria Estafan musical for my wife and I. It's probably out of my reach but I'd like to at least find out what the likely costs involved are. I know these things change from day to day but I'm not fussed what day or time the performance is although I would prefer an evening. Failing that can somebody please advise me where the very best places to sit are. I completly got this wrong in Manchester the other week and it made for a very disappointing and uncomfortable experience and this is something I don't want to repeat, indeed when my wife spyed the people in the boxes she said "why didn't you get one of those 😂😂" anyway thanks in advance for your help.

The Theatremonkey site is always useful. It doesn't, unfortunately, have a full guide to the London Coliseum, but there are a few comments about the venue: www.theatremonkey.com/FAQS.htm#WhatThe thing about boxes is they are often at the side and so don't have the best views. It will also depend on the box, but a lot have four seats and, if you want to guarantee the whole box to yourself, you'd need to book all four. Apart from that, the boxes don't seem to be available to book online, so you'd probably have to give them a ring to see if they're in use for this production.

Thank you very much for the reply, can I ask? I have a back problem at the minute and suffer with sciatic, I'm not very tall and neither am I large but I need to take this in to consideration when I buy tickets. Where do you suggest I sit that is best for both experice if what is happening on stage and my condition. Many thanks

Many thanks If the boxes at the back of the Stalls are available, they're raised over the seats in front and have a forward-on view.
Otherwise, maybe try for a central Stalls seat on the aisle. The Stalls are better for leg room and the aisle will give you room to move if you need to.

Seatplan has reviews and photos of the view from some of the seats - seatplan.com/london/london-coliseum-theatre/Looking at other productions the boxes don't seem to be on sale online for any production so maybe they only sell them over the phone or in person. But as noted above you would probably need to buy the whole box - so for a 4 seat box you'd be paying at least £100 per seat presumably. And the boxes at the side probably don't give the best view. Also often I think the seats in boxes are loose upright chairs (like dining chairs) so maybe not the best for your back! I'd agree with the suggestion of going for stalls seats on the aisle - plenty of legroom and comfortable seats. The legroom is less generous in the upper circle and balcony. If you want to make an occasion of it as an alternative to a box you could look at dining at the American Bar restaurant in the Coliseum - I believe you can for instance have the main course before the show and keep the table so you pop back in the interval for dessert. www.eno.org/your-visit/food-drink/
