OK not to stir the pot - but just watched the WOS video. Is it me or is this the second time that Jason Donovan has publicly snubbed Joseph - Jac Yarrow - when talking about this production not even mentioning the kid? BTW - is it definite to return next summer or is a transfer still a possibility? Sadly, I tend to agree about the snubbing. Very sad really. Sheridan Smith seems very supportive of Jac, however.

I've seen this twice already and could happily watch it over and over again just for the sheer exuberance of the piece but I must exercise budget restraint and self-control. However if there is an understudy narrator at any point I'll try be there though I hope it won't happen. I assume the intention is for Sheridan Smith to do the complete run but would be interesting to see how an understudy would fill the role Very pleased that westendwilma is in a minority with the negative and potentially libellous review linked a few pages ago. No show ever pleases everyone and the man next to me in the cheap seats on Wednesday afternoon told his wife at half time they'd ruined the show and Sheridan Smith was awful. Wife told him not be a misery and he looked towards me for support but I said I was on a return visit and loved the show. He didn't applaud once. I'm a bit confused as I've just read the westendwilma review and he has given a glowing 5 star review.

Musicalmarge gave the negative review on page 101. Too late for me to edit or delete the post. Will stop posting in the wee small hours after a show and free wine.

^You are very pleased that musicalmarge is in a minority with her negative review??? Why? Is this some kind of competition in which we keep score? Surely all opinions are relevant? Also,in what way is this review, potentially libellous?

Has anyone had any luck with dayseats for Friday evening shows? Want to take my mum next week and stupidly didn't check my email in time for the lottery confirmation email. If they can't guarantee any I'll just buy them but it's a bit more expensive Someone on here wrote that they aren’t doing Dayseats anymore

Surely all opinions are relevant? Also,in what way is this review, potentially libellous? Because of the hopefully unintentional reference to an actual ( Southend ) Amateur Operatic & Dramatic Society to make a point by somebody who didn't even stay for the second act. Otherwise a harsh but valid critique. I have no doubt that plenty of others will form a similar view about this production of Joseph. The "marmite factor" has already been referenced. While I think it's wonderful and it seems most people feel the same I was certainly not expecting the critics to be so favourable.

Surely all opinions are relevant If you like a show and want it to succeed is it not natural to hope it gets favourable reviews from critics and audience members alike? I can't see anything wrong in that!

Jason Donovan is away today if anyone wants to make out more of the show lyrics. Yes Richard Carson is his cover. I'm sure he will be wonderful. My friend is gutted as she is a big fan but booked before realising Jason was off. I was going to book later myself but when I was browsing they had added to seat select page that he is off which. I've not seen that on an actual booking page before (usually seems to be hidden in the blurb). I was impressed.

LOL - I booked BECAUSE Jason was off (going to the matinee pre the Les Mis #endofanera). Richard Carson was sensational as Chris in the recent Saigon revival. And he's hot. So it's all win-win really :-)

shady 23...being pleased that musicalmarge is supposedly in a minority as a negative reviewer is a way of comparing the weight of opinion for/against a show and saying that if more people like a show then it must be a success and the naysayers must be wrong. Those with the courage of their convictions will not be concerned about what others think. Some people are crowing that the press critics have given the show good reviews and therefore the naysayers must be wrong about this version. Not necessarily true. It’s all just opinion and in the end it is the box office receipts that count and nothing else.

Is Jac short for Jacqueline? Or Jacinta? I've always assumed that these really weird names from the latest batches of theatre school graduates are because of Equity rules and for uniqueness on the Internet (there's no point trying to build your name as a brand if someone else is already established with the same name - even if this isn't in acting).

Jac is the Welsh spelling of Jack - it's his name - it's not short for anything.

On the flipside to that, some of his older social media posts are a bit dodgy, but that's what happens when you're suddenly thrust into the limelight using the same social media you had when you were a teen.

You’ve peaked my curiosity now, how are his older social media posts dodgy?

Has anyone sat in the extreme front side stalls seats here...eg B31,32? How restricted are they? This is too much of a risk to spend big money on but I can cope with £52.

In most employment settings, that sort of thing should lead to some sort of disciplinary process.
Why should theatre be any different?
Whoever the perpetrator, that sounds like sexual harassment to me and that is not acceptable - even as a 'joke' or 'banter'
