But before it opens? It just did not get a bump from the BGT appearance. And by the time it opens it will be discounting. IMO. Dear Evan Hansen is on TodayTix. They don't open for another 4 or 5 months. And I certainly don't think they have a problem with sales. I'm not sure what your point is.

Just that in my opinion Joseph looks horrible and aside from coach parties it will not sell or be received well. The performances were horrid. It seems you might have liked it, good for you. I did not.

No, I didn't like the performance at all, and I said so at the time ( theatreboard.co.uk/post/292502/thread). I just don't see the point in making tenuous connections with ticket sales. I hope the show is a success - and if the feedback is positive, I may try and see it.

Wow that was a car crash. Let’s just say Linzi Hately and David Easter have nothing to worry about!. Doubtless it’ll be better at the Palladium - but it won’t be a patch on the originAl cast.

When you say "holiday", do you mean "Christmas"? yes - for the festive season...I mean things change by the second but that is what i heard. Well, it will need to find a new Pharoah if it is. Jason Donovan's just been announced as Billy Flynn in Chicago over Christmas in Melbourne.

If he doesn't make a special guest appearance in Neighbours when he is over there I will be having a tantrum!

There’s an article I read which pretty much says he’d only do it if Kylie and Guy Pierce did it at the same time as him!

Sheridan Smith on Zoe Ball's Radio 2 breakfast show this morning:
"This Joseph is totally reimagined. I play the narrator and usually the narrator stands around with kids in a choir but this ones's very much got the kids involved and we're kind of like naughty fairies and doing all the set."
Whatever being naughty fairies and "doing all the set" might mean!
It's gonna be interesting....

I mean God knows what Sheridan's on about, it barely makes sense. I certainly don't recall ALW and Tim Rice writing in naughty fairy characters.

Maybe by 'doing all the set' she means they'll be playing a flight of stairs, a pedestal and various pieces of furniture!

I suspect she means her and the kiddies rolling it on and off again.
No expense spared!

Kiddies should be up chimneys, not faffing about on stage! 🙂

Begining to wish I hadn't booked to see this. Sounds like it's going to be ruined.

Well I don't have too long to wait as I am seeing it on one of the first previews on 1st July. I got in quick and got a cheap £10 ticket so even if its not brilliant I haven't wasted too much!

Who inspired you most growing up? I was inspired by the likes of Jeremy Jordan, - groan. Here's me thinking of JJ as a young fella

Just thought of another weird thing.
If this IS a completely reimagined version, why on earth are they using the advertising/graphic of the 1991 Stephen Pimlott version?
Even though you know it’s different, I think subconsciously at least, it makes you expect that version. Leading to inevitable comparisons.
I do think if they were starting afresh a new logo would have been good.
No one can accuse them of not advertising though. It’s everywhere!

I would say because the logo is iconic. It's returning to the Palladium with an original cast member.
When they reimagined Phantom and Les Mis Saigon - they will used the show logos. A lot of it will be down to emotional connection and such.
