Can Joe Sugg sing? They would only need 1/8 of his followers to buy tickets and they would be laughing.

All this talk of Joseph made me go hunting for my cast recording but it seems I may have put it to charity and I have searched online with no luck! I remember it had Linzi Hateley as the Narrator however it wasn't the London Palladium recording and didn't have Lee Mead or Donny Osmond as Joseph. Does anyone have any ideas which album this was and who could have been Joseph?

If it wasn't the London Palladium recording, it didn't have Linzi Hateley as the Narrator. There was an LA cast recording released in 1993, with Michael Damian as Joseph, and Kelli Rabke as the Narrator. Could this have been it?

More to the point, is the seven inch edit of the ‘Joseph Megamix’ available online anywhere? The album one is a bit slow and dreary but the 7” mix felt more like it did in the theatre.

I'm positive it was Linzi as the Narrator but I have seen the artwork for the London Palladium cast recording and even listened to it and it doesn't match up to what I had. I have a vague recollection of the album being a brown in colour but that's it. It's actually starting to annoy me that I got rid of it. xD

I have found an audio clip from the album but it sadly doesn't say which album it is from! It's definitely not the London Palladium recording as the first song is simply titled "Prologue" on it however on the album I had it was named "Some Folds Dream". I'm now doubting myself about Linzi but I was almost positive it had her listed on the back...

Joe Sugg is a weedly looking little blonde. Lee Mead is great looking and his voice better than ever.

obviously it depends if he can sing, but Joseph can get away with having just a passable voice.

That’s definitely not Linzi Hateley! Would love to her to reprise her role in this revival...

with some training, it worked for Philip Schofield very well. It's about charm and personality and Joe has that in spades. And he has 6 months to go to the gym!

We have to remember that Mr Sugg is dancing to the Joseph Megamix this Saturday on Strictly...
Might just be a coincidence...
Or is it careful pre-planning?

Given the price of tickets to WE shows these days, I would expect whoever is cast as Joseph to be able to sing and act. It would actually be a step back after 2007, to cast someone simply because they're a popstar or soap star or famous for some other reason, without taking into account their singing/acting ability.

not really, back then sure we got a Joseph who could sing, but was about as bland and vanilla as you can get. At least joe has some charisma about him

I actually think Charlie Stemp would be the perfect casting for this. I also wonder if we might see Sierra Boggess as the narrator. No.

I’m sad to say this but I’ve heard from various people involved that they want Carrie Hope Fletcher as the Narrator- because of her large social media following.
